Great teams and awesome report. Have to say that a similar POG team was used on our Argentinian ROC tournament, in a pre-entities era.
FI B002 Skadi Warbot 30 pts
FI B003 Damage Warbot 10 pts X 2
FI H002 Rocket Warbot 15 pts X 14
GG 014 Astral Dr. Strange
Power Plant + 8 Rings (S001-S002-S004-S005-S006-S007-S008-S009)
Nonetheless congrats to Joshua and the other players; glad to see this kind of gaming quality.

I won't lie, I'm a regular listener for The Quarry so I had certainly been exposed to the team from Argentina. In fact I mentioned the similarities to Darklogos when we had our matchup. I guess I'm just lucky I didn't have to play against a Spidey 2099 with Angrir's Hammer
Great that chimed in with your team and general strategy Gokou! I literally smiled when I saw your team, and I doubt that I'm alone in saying its a breath of fresh air to see it win in a major tourney.
I LOVE the winning team...anyone at my local venue can tell you that I have been an advocate of the horde stacks and warbots in the meta game from the beginning. (they have actually become lumped in with things like resources and such on our local venue ban list during fun games because of me ) Glad to see them take center stage and do well!!!
I always dreamed of a Print&Play team something with the slogan "you don't need "figures" to play heroclix" and you make it a competitive team... I mean a winner ROC team with bystanders and good support figures AND in the entity era.
You are certainly not the first person to look at my team and raise an eyebrow. I sat across from Darklogos for my first match-up in the top 16 and his confusion was plain to see when he looked over all the "figures" on my team. A group of us Wichita clixers went to a Con in your Store event last weekend and one of my buddies needed a competitive team on fairly short notice, so we set him up with my same basic layout from this tournament. He was absolutely convinced that we were trying to pull a fast one on him, until he had a chance to see it in action. Wall of text omitted.
It is certainly a fantastic team and I tried it out the other day. You do struggle sometimes for actions, with trying to TK out a stack and move weasel into position so when you hit the leadership from Skadi's it is a real bonus.

I had a blast at this event...learned how good Pepper Potts is! Sucks I screwed myself out of my top 8 win by adding points wrong...but had fun nonetheless.

That matchup between you and Trent was epic. I saw you both over there rolling dice every few seconds passing turns back and forth frantically and I couldn't figure out what was going on
