When I brought up the idea of a 3rd league, quite some time ago, many players said they would only participate if it was very different than the current 2 leagues.

I don't mind the Role-Playing aspect of the other 2. But upgrading characters like Bruce Banner and Clark Kent can take most of a season.

I hope everyone will play in the spirit in which this League is intended. Thanks for the List, that's also good feedback.

Thinking about having a League Rule that Theme PC can only be used on your turn. But I want to get input. Frankly, I think Theme PC is a terrible idea and I'd do away with it in RL. For play-by-post games, it can really bring a game to a crawl.
Opinions?

What brings a pbp game to a crawl is PC on a case by case basis when the player doesn't respond quickly. That is true whether it's normal PC or Theme PC. (Theme PC may be a bit better in this regard, because eventually you run out of Theme PC, while normal PC is there until the PCer is KO'd.)

That slows down games, but by and large, the HCFL and FLE have survived nonetheless, so I don't think it's a huge drawback.

However, if you want to make games move faster, you shouldn't get rid of Theme PC. Rather, you should limit all PC (whether Theme PC or normal PC) so that you can only re-roll your own rolls on your turns.

I'd agree to this. That's the main reason games go so slow.

We now have 8 players, and 2 maybes. I've sent notes to some past league players who have dropped, but still come to the Realms.

They do not have to possess the Key Word, but they must be thematic. For example, there are Captain America figures in the Marvel Movie Universe that do not possess the KW, but they certainly are thematic to an Avengers Movie team.

I think +1 on Relic Rolls would be a good bonus for the Leader.

Completely understand, just wanted to be sure as there are comic accurate teams that have never had their keyword made...or very partially. Basically it allows one to keep his options open.

I really like the idea of this league. My schedule is still too busy to try and manage a full scale team with upgrades and other managments in HCFL or FLE. I feel confident that I can fit this into my schedule. Please sign me up. Thanks
