I agree, that's the version (1100 pts) I'd go for also. I'd love to be able to include SI Namor, and maybe I could do that but adding feats / ressources (which I usually avoid) ; but not playing full Terrax means losing way more than a better charger.

Against the 1.1 K Cabal, I'd rather play the most recent version of the Illuminati (lacking only Amadeus Cho, and of course Doc Green is replaced by a Hulk) :

Looks awesome. Don't have that 250pt Hulk or Captain Britain, but I'm going to try working in either 255pt movie hulk or the new AVAS hulk with the Con Captain Britain
