They probably did it to balance out the retaliation damage trait. (because they care about balance... :rolleyes:

I don't think comparing the 2 Struckers head to head based on their combat values/ability is fair, as this Strucker is absolutely 100% supposed to be teamed with The Imperial Hydra. Deal Mastermind damage to a bunch of lowly drones, deal damage to your opponent, crank out fresh drones, everyone gets a bonus (including the fresh drones) rinse, repeat. I personally prefer this guy in my Hydra teams, as he and IH let you crank dudes out at a pretty good rate if you are lucky with your rolls.

Him not having Steal Energy is pretty bad. I would rather see his bcf ability be steal energy and/or poison, and even then, if you want to be a bastard, you can just use The Phoenix or a hammer on him. The Cap set one is pretty boss though, and I run him in big games with a mix of Hydra and Masters of Evil figs.

I never pictured the Satan's Claw as doing more damage than a sword. It cuts and drains life as opposed to slicing through someone's neck or torso.

Therefore, it would've made more sense for the power to be 1d3+1 damage (2-4 rather than 2-6), Exploit Weakness, and Steal Energy.
