Saw a couple of ROC win/place with it. Once the power batteries rotate next year it may very well be one of the top resources.

I have a 300 pt modern team using the QJ that I would put up against any of the ROC teams that I've seen listed. It's potential to bring in characters in a non-ID fashion, and the flexibility, is insane. Truly my favourite piece/resource in the game right now.

Really?? Quinjet teams that can handle themselves in the metaplay? Do you happen happen to have some builds? I really want to like the resource, I simply can't see how to make it work...

It's not overused, but the potential is definitely there to win. We've got a few months of nothing but no resources games, then a few months of games with resources, and then we'll see the next retirement. I think we're highly likely to see the Power Batteries retire this year, and no one is exactly rushing to use the Box, Rock, or Supreme Intelligence. Quinjet is sitting pretty on the meta.

I made a mistake and had the Guardians of the Galaxy ata assigned to Yellowjacket at first, then realized right before we were about to play that it cannot be assigned to her because she is a wildcard through her trait

I added ID cards for the second game, but the idea was about the same. S.H.I.E.L.D. recruit, hulk and brother voodoo were always called in by the jet's resource. mainly went with triathlon instead of she-hulk in case the jet itself was needed to call some one.

I like the idea of using a SHIELD recruit to try to bring out a 50-60pt Avenger to pilot the Quinjet (since it can then never take the damage that would remove it from the board.

So you play Quinjet and first turn bring in any ID-card with Quinjet (70 or 140) to give it an action token & to roll the dial. If on the next turn you need to clear to turn the dial higher then do, but if not bring in 50pt Iron Man or 53pt Mockingbird with QJ's ability. It takes a click, they pilot, and a Thomas K heals the Quinjet back to top dial... all by turn 2 or 3 you have a free pilot for the jet (one with better stats in playing the 70pt jet).

If this is similar to what Easton was doing he must have found that Thomas K wasn't needed. If you roll a 4, 5, or 6 on the first turn you won't need to clear the Quinjet and in fact he likely had Ultron-8 just bring in someone (Capt. A for early ESD?), so the QJ was action free on turn 1 to bring in it's pilot (Iron Man likely) who could then sit in the QJ until it was KO'd or MC'd.

Well the Quinjet can't be targeted by mind control so no worries about that happening. I personally love this resource, I've built so many teams with it and though it may not be the biggest stat booster it brings something better, more figures!

For anyone interested in how Easton played and won, he did an in depth interview on the "Two Clicks from KO" podcast episode 60. He actually played the team on a dare, but was able to ramp to King Thor every game.

If I remember correctly you cannot even field a vehicle if you are using the book of skulls.
