Category suggestions are what this first week is for!

I will vote, and so far I like all the suggestions for catagories, especially best SK and roleplayer.

Could be like the Best Record/Best Song distinction in the Grammys.

I like best role design as a new category.

Is there a lifetime achievement award equivalent? I'd like to see that one as well.

Not to be Debbie Downer or anything, but I do think it'd be nice to keep it at 10-12 total categories... any more and I think it becomes hard to actually vote on everything. There are a lot of good suggestions, though, so good luck trying to pick between them) if that's something you even want to do)!

I wanted 9 categories at the most added to the defaults.

Tuesday night is when suggestions will stop being taken. And I'd appreciate if there are members you thing would be interested in participating but might not be aware, tell them! This will be better the more people participate.

All the mentioned categories are fine with me. My only addition would be the most awesomely bad player in a specific game. Who did the absolute worst in one game? I just say this because I know we're all decent players, but the epic fails tend to be some of the most fun parts of any game.

Reword ed a bit and I could get behind this. Most Epic Fail is a category I can get behind. Awesomely bad player just sounds insulting to the recipient.

Game of the Year (Game) - This award goes to the game that was considered the best overall of 2015.
Mod of the Year (Mod) - This award goes to the mod that was the best overall mod of 2015.
Player of the Year (Player) - This award goes to the player that was the best overall player, in all aspects, in 2015.
Best Town Member (Player) - This award goes to the player that was the best player as a member of the town in 2015.
Best Mafia/Cult Member (Player) - This award goes to the player that was the best player as a member of the mafia or cult in 2015.
Serial Killer of the Year (Player) - This award goes to the player that was the best player as the serial killer role in 2015.

Technical Awards
Best Write-Ups (Mod) - This award goes to the mod that consistently had the best, most entertaining write-ups
Best Use of a Theme (Game) - This award goes to the game that best utilized a theme to enhance the overall feel and experience of a game
Best Role Design (Game) - This award goes to the game that had the best role design, in terms of interesting and unique power sets as well as maintaining a good overall game balance.

Player Awards
Rookie of the Year (Player who's first game was in 2015) - This award goes to the best new player of 2015.
Comedian of the Year (Player or Mod) - This award goes to the player or mod that made us laugh the most.
Most Epic Fail (Moment) - This award goes to the situation that caused the most Epic Fail. This is not simply an award for bad play, this is for when an otherwise decent player made a huge error in judgement that added to the enjoyment of the game.


Special Awards
Community Choice (Member of the Mafia Community) - This award goes to the community member that has most made the Mafia section of the forums a more fun place to be, the one who has gone the extra mile to add to the family that is the Made Members of HCRealms
Lifetime Achievement (Any Mafia Member, regardless of year) - This award goes to the Mafia member that deserves special recognition for everything they have done as a member of the Mafia Community over the course of their entire time on HCRealms. This award can only be received once (assuming future years of the Maffies are run). Think of this like a Mafia Hall of Fame.

Nominations are now open. You can PM any nominations you have for the categories to me. Feel free to submit between 1-5 nominations for each category. Also, as of this point, I ask you refrain from publicly discussing any category other than Most Epic Fail and Lifetime Achievement, due to their broad nature, I feel these categories would benefit from some discussion to narrow it down a bit.
