I'd prefer to use "Sleuth" Batman (Uncommon) to Outwit and allow a friendly Superman-- Uncommon-- to run in with an object, smash and then switch to the Common (001) to serve as a tie-up piece.
Batman can switch into his Rare version to RS, his Common form (003) to "jump" into a bush within attack range, or his other Common form (004) to Charge in and remain adjacent to Supes for a +1 DV boost (20 DV).
On your next turn, Supes can Sidestep away and shift focus to his Rare version to P/PB while taxiing Bats.
I love this mechanic. A Batman and Superman for all seasons!
I'm excited to slap someone with hypersonic 14 speed superman and then switch into the 19 defense wall of justice.
Don't tell the guys at Yancy, but on Thursday's game I'll be using that hypersonic Supes ( = 14) on the Cosmic treadmill. Someone gets close: wall of Justice. Time to all-out attack or end-game clean up: penetrating energy explosion ftw. Muahaha

This is what i hate about this game. 4 different power sets to toggle between. People want to know the best way to take advantage of this cool new power.
The answer: Well, put an entity on them of course
Clearly, when utilizing these pieces a certain finesse is required in order to best shift through the various specialized dials, however, certain power additions and stat boosts are a huge increase in their overall playability.
Could the same Batman shift focus more than once during a turn? Jump 6 squares, shift to sidestep 2 squares and outwit something, shift to charge 4 squares, then shift back to Batman #003.

No, the card says:
SHIFTING FOCUS - BATMAN: Give Batman a free action if he began your turn on the map. Replace him with another character with this trait on the same click number.
