I'm down with the 50-pointers being the "comic" Turtles. Based on the evidence thread, the "color-coded" versions of those sculpts are gonna be in the starter (which works for me, as I was gonna buy for the updated PAC/Rules anyway). I might give the Nick versions a miss however as I'm not a huge fan of the Nicktoon version of the show and my "Rare/Super-Rare Dollar" would be better focused on whatever 80s characters fall into that rarity (hoping Krang is affordable).
With Posts That Are Like Unto A Thing Of Iron, I Remain...
I will say myself, as a kid when I saw the cover for the Nintendo TMNT Game, I too was a little confused. Admittedly, I was introduced to the Turtles via the Original Cartoon and got into the Comics after.
I guess I never got enough time to really look at the cover of the game; my copy hit the trash can as soon as I discovered the underwater dam level.
Quick Question: Giant reach says all squares within that number are considered adjacent. So Donnie has a GR3. His power says he can use BCF when attacking non adjacents. So does that mean he can't use BCF on anyone within 3? So he can use it on ranged attacks? If so I can forsee sniper rifle shenanigans in the happening in the future. I doubt that was Wizkids intent. But we can hardly go by intent can we? Seems like this will adressed in the future, hopefully before the set releases.
Kate Bishop:"Why the HELL do you need an arrow to come back to you after you shoot it, Clint?" Hawkeye: "Because...Boomerangs"
I think that the Starter is geared toward the Turtles fighting Mousers, so I'd expect them to be 75 points each (or 75/50, if we're lucky). Maybe Splinter is a Possessor that can only be equipped to a TMNT character?
Where the GF versions are generalists, I think that these will be specialists with traits that trigger off one another (think SoG: Birds of Prey FF). It's nice to have 3 Turtle options between the GF and Starter for my generic themes.
I just want a indoor sewer map with lots of water for Aquamamoaman to dominate!

The doubt and lack of historical comprehension of the Ninja Turtles (on this forum) is astonishing to me. To me thats like not knowing Wolverine had his 2 main costumes.
Must be nice to be so young
On a side note: Little disappointed in the toony ones being more powerful than the older school ones. However, I am looking forward to playing all of them... IN MODERN AGE!

This is the current wording of giant reach:
GIANT REACH: X – When this character makes a close combat attack, characters occupying a square that is within X squares and line of fire may be targeted as if they were adjacent. This ability can’t be countered.
See how it says that when making a close combat attack, it can target a character as if it were adjacent. giant Reach does not actually make them adjacent, so he could use his B/C/F while attacking with just that special power.
But I do agree with you:
MY BO... CONVERTS TO A NAGINATA: Giant Reach:3. Donatello can use Blades/Claws/Fangs, but only if he's attacking a non-adjacent character.
This power will be great with a sniper rifle, because it will still trigger.

BCF only works with close combat actions, not ranged combat actions.
