First impressions of Civil war. Photos to come later.
This is a mess of an OP. All new draft system. You chose a faction. Pro or Anti Registration. You open you pack and take the one Neutral figure and the 2 figures of your faction. The bases will be color coded. Blue is Pro Reg, Red is Anti, black is neutral. The colors seem backwards to me. Cap was Anti.
You then pass the other figures across the table. You sit opposite someone of the other faction. Then you battle royale.
Prizes are snaked drafted at the end. 1 prize is added to the pool. So 2 figures per brick equal 2 battle royales.
Bounty cards are 8 per brick. Each player gets a bounty for the opposite faction. The bounties figures are all the commons to help the conflict happen.
If you kill the figure you have a bounty for, every player of your faction gets to heal 1 figure 1 click on their next turn. Just just in your battle royale, but every one in the room.
IMO sounds a little like it might be fun.... I'm hoping that we get a solid lineup of some of the bigger players in Civil War....I personally hope this is much better than AoU

As a player (who enjoys both scenarios and Battle Royal type play) this sound very fun

Yeah, I'm guessing they're trying to shake things up a bit. They've probably had some success with the Battle Royale events they've been doing, and decided to add the bounties and the factions to make this feel like something bigger than a pre-release. Sounds like a mouthful to describe, but I think it could be fun.
I do wish there was still some sort of participation prize other than just what you snake draft at the end though. Say what you will about resources, but they did make SLOPs feel like must play events.

The reason AoU was weak for me is because it felt more like a continuation of Avengers Assemble with them trying to fill out the Avengers Academy characters instead of actual storyline characters. I don't remember Tigra/Machine Teen in Age of Ultron, like at all.
Doctor Nemesis card.
Keywords: Past, Scientist, X Club, X Force
Complete disdain for others. Improved movement: Characters
Improved Targeting: Hindering
Trait: who invented a ranking of the smartest people? If one of Doctor Nemesis's powers would be countered, choose a standard power that he can't currently use. Doctor Nemesis can use that power while his power is countered.
Speed: I'd rather work behind the scenes. Sidestep, stealth, and improved movement: Hindering.
Damage: Horrible Doctor. Can use perplex and support. If he uses perplex on an opposing character, he can use Outwit until your next turn, but only to target the same character.
At what point would we hear about upcoming sets later this year? I'm only seeing wizkids presentations on Wizkids event system and civil war on the GAMA website :/
2014 Gencon Theme Team event - 1st Place
2015 Origins Protect the Boss Scenario - 1st Place

Damn, I wish he had the X-Men keyword, but fuuuuuuu I need this. How many points? And di they reveal distribution? I've been assuming UXM pre-release.

This seems totally insane, but I kinda like it? On the other hand... it's a one-round tournament?
