Susan Richards wasted no time reuniting with her husband in Chicago.

She found the Flash of the DC universe and he graciously carried her to the Shield infirmary he was convalescing in.

She wept at the sight of her husband, knowing he had a penchant for over extending himself. Whatever he had done to get to this point, she knew he had been a hero, as he always was.

Antman spoke with Susan Richards and told her that he would continue until Reed was fully recovered but when Reed was ready to return to his role, Scott Lang would begin working from Chicago too.


Sue understood and gave Scott her blessing.

Day 89: Afternoon; Near Hub City, in an alternate reality on a replicated Earth.

Ben Grimm had searched fruitlessly for Reed to no avail. He hadn't seen Reed all day but he knew Reed was in no condition to be going anywhere and that caused Ben to be worried.

Ben stomped through the Baxter Building in a panic. Sue and Johnny had been missing for weeks. Now Reed? Ben was praying to Jehovah that Reed was just puttering in one of his labs.

When he was finally satisfied that Reed was nowhere to be found and the rift appeared, Ben angrily plunged in, not wanting to be alone.

Doombot 5953 was in the same boat 3095 was previously.

It was confused by not being at Castle Doom. Castle Doom was what it was programmed to defend, but where was Castle Doom?

Kristoff appeared and relieved the Doombot of further confusion. He stopped the robot and ordered it to accompany him.

Ben emerged from the rift and saw Kristoff collecting the Doombot.

What was going on?

Kristoff flew away with his prize without a second thought.

Ben looked around. Where the heck was he? A nearby sign said he was in Hub City near what appeared to be one of the great lakes, but which one?

Hub City? Ben knew of no place called Hub City.

Ben began to plod into the city.

The sight of Ben Grimm as the Thing was a source of consternation to the Hub City residents. Ben got a similar reaction to his appearance that he used to get back when he first became the Thing.

This bothered Ben because he thought the world had gotten used to how he looks by now. He didn't know that these people were from the DC universe and unfamiliar with him.

Ironically, a hotline was called that was set up by Susan Richards requesting help from the Fantastic Four in case of any threat that appeared.

Black Goliath and the New Warriors responded because She-Hulk, the Torch and Ant-Man were tending to a stricken Reed Richards.

Black Goliath spotted his friend Ben Grimm and swiftly rushed to welcome him.

Ben couldn't believe his eyes. Bill Foster was alive? Ben whooped with joy.

After hugging each other in a friendly embrace. Ben began asking how it was that Bill was alive.

Bill said he wasn't quite sure himself but there were plenty of others in this reality that were getting another chance as well and then told him that they'd found Reed earlier and took him to the Shield infirmary in Chicago.

Ben was full of questions but Bill couldn't answer all of them.

When the New Warriors showed up they realized they weren't really needed. They all knew that Ben Grimm was no threat. Gravity even wanted an autograph from Ben.

Ben was brought into the infirmary where Reed was recuperating while Johnny Storm, She-Hulk and Ant-Man fretted over him.

Johnny saw Ben and shouted happily to see his friend. Jennifer and Scott also expressed their happy surprise. Everybody who knows Ben Grimm as a friend likes him and though they might not readily admit it, some of his enemies do too.

Ben saw Reed and knew immediately why Reed was in the shape he was in. They'd both been through hell taking down Apocalypse by themselves.

Now, if Apocalypse decides to try again, they won't be there to stop him.

Hal Jordan delivered Gamora to Adam Warlock and the others. Gamora was happy to be with Adam but she was a little hurt that he was still seemingly indifferent to her feelings when he did not express the enthusiasm she was hoping for. Still the same old Adam unfortunately.

She introduced herself to Mar-Vell who remembered her from at least one clash with Thanos. Gamora toyed with trying to make Adam jealous by flirting with Mar-Vell.

Hall Jordan was talking with Quasar. They had plenty in common and were talking shop about their powers.

Suddenly they were interrupted by two Monitors.

One of the Monitors was of the faction that felt that everyone who had died and been revived must be removed from this reality. His primary target was Mar-Vell but he was also looking at everybody except Moondragon.

The other felt that everyone not native to the DC universe must be eliminated. Only Hal Jordan was exempt in his eyes.

There was one Monitor that was trying to stop the other Monitors from their folly.

This was the same Monitor who had opposed the Ant-Monitor during the Crisis on Infinite Earths. He had no memory of his other existence but he did have the same moral compass.

He showed up and tried to reason with the other two Monitors that were about to attack Infinity Watch members and Hal Jordan.

The distraction allowed the Cosmic heroes the chance to defend themselves and defeat the two Monitors intent on killing them.

Hal Jordan collected the defeated Monitors and took them to Oa to be imprisoned.

Howard the Duck made arrangements for Shield to escort him to Cleveland.

He hoped he could resume the life he'd built there.

In Bludhaven, Ringmaster used his powers to get Copperhead off of Princess Python's back.

He hypnotized Copperhead and made Copperhead feel just slightly afraid of Princess Python, not enough to make him consider her a threat, but enough to make Copperhead leave her alone.

Princess Python had enough to worry about with the enmity of the rest of the Serpent Squad. She didn't need bullying from a psycho.

Now they could focus on working for Blockbuster.

Attuma settled into his role as leader of the opposition to Namor the Sub-Mariner's reign. His Atlantean warriors were less then happy with his alliance to King Shark and Captain Mako but Attuma solved that by ordering King Shark and Captain Mako to stay away as much as possible to alleviate the uneasiness of the warriors.

Meanwhile, Attuma met with an envoy of the Badoon.
