Major Force could be quite effective against her, with an increasing poison radius. If they have reducers it becomes penetrating later. Also, the AoU Hank Pym Box-set 202 Ant-Man allows ant swarms to follow her around when she moves and the swarms themselves come complete with poison.
Streaky and Despotellis can chase her around. Seems Despo would be optimal choice until rotation at 30 pts.
Despotellis won't work well, since Mystique can use force blast as free action after moving.
So she move, Despotellis follows, then she uses Force Blast and Despotellis is no longer adjacent to her.
As far as I'm tracking...the only thing that could hurt her is pulse wave and somehow being adjacent to her at the beginning of your turn....the tk trick would not work I believe ..because it targets her.
Sidestep at the beginning of the turn to her does not work either as far as I know...the reason being....there was a question asked to wiz kids about lex..stating if the character could first sidestep at the beginning of their turn....they responded, no because at the beginning of the turn that character wasn't adjacent.....
However, this I think contradicts some things...because I've seen people sidestep / poison....and it was claimed legal. Sometimes it feels like rules in heroclix can contradict themselves....I don't know...I just can't stand it playing in a game where two players argue..and then start pulling out their phones trying to find the errata, clarification, or new rule posted by a wiz kids person...wish it was just more straightforward.
Honestly, until we get some clarification on her.l.she is going to be annoying to play against, but fun to play with.

I use Mr. Myx to carry Despo into position. He can do one of two things. Free action move when double tokened to get a pen poison off. Stay on click 1 and just keep picking up Despo and putting him back on Mystique. Or push to click 2 and make Despo a Giant so she can't force blast him off.
Or if you want to be silly, assign Despo combat reflexes or charge from a sin.
Magenta can pull Mystique into position and barrier her in. Setup another character to finish her off. She pairs well with Iceman.
Brimstone is always a fun choice. He's slow and his retaliation will only trigger if someone takes damage or if he's targeted with an attack. Just needs some form of Barrier to keep her close by. My plan was to give him an Iceblast Ring from the Power Plant. Maybe an Impact Beam the next turn to shove her into something.
Here's a list of characters that can do things to screw with Mystique as well. In fact I'll make a 300 point team just to deal with her.
Storms Smoke Cloud is a free action. Surround Mystique with it so it's harder for her to escape. Sunfire and Riptide can Pulse Wave her as they see fit. Professor X denies any equipment on her.
Gives you 25 points to play with.
Or if you'd prefer you can use these little ones to help poison her.
But if you're looking for something a bit more meta then you're just going to want to use folks with Pulse Wave.

Sidestep poison is a perfectly legal combination, as poison is a free action that can occur at any point during the beginning of the turn phase, whilst sidestep is a free action that can occur at any point during the turn. The reason Mystique and Lex differ, is because they cannot be targeted unless you began the turn adjacent. So the turn begins, then the beginning of the turn occurs where you can sidestep. Like you pointed out, this is why you can't sidestep then attack her sadly
Whoever asked about ID characters and attached characters like Teekl vs Mystique is a certified genius. Ruling on "begins the turn" is consistent with the way they rule "begins the game" as well. Very nice and simple way of being able to interact with her and doesn't require you to bring pulse wave. http://win.wizkids.com/bb/viewtopic....6ddc5f0a253793
