I don't remember if the Civil War miniseries ever directly addresses the fact that it's Danny under that mask, but the Brubaker & Lark Daredevil run that was going on at the same time (starting with Devil in Cell Block D) is well worth reading.

That Wasp destroyed my this week. She rolled 3 6's in a row for shape change against my Venom and I simply couldn't get a single hit in on her the whole game. Completely infuriating. Excellent piece.

I beleive they went out of their way to not mention it in CW......but Devil in Cell Block D....and the White Tiger mini (a heroes compulsion) ...were two places where Danny was the guardian devil.
