He still takes Pushing Damage if he stays on his first click.
And can't go back to his first click if pushed off of his first click
(when starting and staying on his first click).
Correct. The ONLY way he'll take pushing damage is if you, ya know, DON'T use his trait and keep him on his worst click to attack someone.
Quote
Beginning of turn pick sidestep or outwit, use it, master of moves onto click 3, pick pulse wave and damage(or attack)
Except that as soon as you turn his dial and he doesn't possess Outwit, whatever you countered is now returned to the character. You could choose Sidestep first, do all your shenanigans, and turn him back to click one and choose Outwit, but I think most would probably just grab Impervious.
Taskmaster is like that jerk at your office who just seems to know how to do EVERYTHING. He always has his reports done first, he always gets chosen by the boss for special projects. Not to mention those perfect teeth, and a smile that always gets the ladies. Peggy from accounting won't even give you the time of day when Taskdorkster is around. Hate that guy. But don't you worry.....I'll have the last laugh. Those increasing amounts of poison I keep adding to his yogurt WILL catch up with him. And whose shoulder will Peggy be crying on? This guy's. Bwhahahaha....
Let's say I started my turn in click 1 and I push him to click 2 AND then proceed to take a mystic's damage therefore ending my turn on click 3. Would i then STILL go back go click 1?
Interesting question. My first thought was "Yup, you could choose click one to benefit from Perplex and Precision Strike, take some pushing/Mystics damage and then go back to click 1"... Sadly, I reread the power:
Master Of All Moves: At the beginning of your turn, you may turn Taskmaster's dial to another click. If you do, at the end of your turn return him to the click he began the turn on.
So I guess you have to choose a different click than the one you're on in the beginning of your turn...
Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn... don't worry guys... that's just the way I sneeze...

It's fine if he can't pick the dial he starts with that turn but what matters here is that he can vitually ignore mystics/pushing damage~
This guy absolutely should have been unique...
I am going to call it now, the following team WILL top a tourney soon:
3x Taskmaster 240
Protues 35
3x Thunderbolts ATA 24
Total: 299
All you have to do is copy the masters of Evil TA and you can attack every single turn with zero consequence. Plus he is a great answer to Balls of Fury, ex. "Say what? I can't use those powers? Oh here is a completely different set. Oh and you don't get your bonus since everybody is the same point value.
Having Flurry + Blades on Tasky's last click is a nice design choice: It's a risk that may not pay off, especially if you roll a critical miss (I've seen it happen, twice).

I saw that happen yesterday. It was made even funnier by the fact that it was Tasky's first attack for the whole game.
