Two sets in a row I'm skipping? Shocking.
Talk about boring, uninspired.

More low cost, single purpose Daredevils and Punishers? Didn't we JUST get that?

What if.....? Wizkids kill Heroclix.....

No interest in "What If", and no interest in more low cost versions of characters. I am passing completely on this Set.

It wouldn't be the first time...

So far... nothing interesting came out of those reveal.
I think that this set is caused by a high demand of unclixed characters, but some time unclixed also equal unwanted ....

So it's just more Avengers Defenders war? This isn't looking like a great set thus far, especially with two more versions of Daredevil.

Well, at least he's wearing a SHIELD suit, right?

I mean, don't get me wrong, not necessarily looking to add him to my collection, either, but it is a different look.

I said it in the evidence thread, I think; The difference between Elseworlds and "What If..?" is that in most cases the Marvel characters start off in very familiar territory.

So we get the Runaways with the Young Avengers keyword* or Thor and Daredevil that look a whole lot like any other Thor or Daredevil, only with a trait or special power that adds a little thematic twist.

Elseworlds can give us a character as a pirate or a cowboy or any number of other truly different takes on the character.

Some "What If..?"s will be different. Tony Stark or Frank Castle as master of the mystic arts, or Punisher as Iron Man; That sort of thing.
Not sure how different they will end up being, but we'll see.

For the most part, though, I expect a whole lot of "What If someone had a keyword they wouldn't normally have?".


*I have zero problem with the Runaways appearing here. I am just saying that there is little difference between what we have seen here with these characters and what we would be likely to see in a "normal" set as far as their dials and sculpts go.

So far, no interest, especially with the general trend for Heroclix and the low point fascination. Not saying they are bad dials, but just not a fan of the 50 point figures that are stating to be the norm.

Never read the What If? storylines, but man oh man does this seem like a pass to me. Nothing super inspiring, and some extra Daredevils and Punisher. I will stick to playing the ADW ones thank you.

Actually pretty awesome story...

The marvel and D.C. 10th anniversary sets were 2 of my favorites ever, especially the marvel side. Was stoked to find out they were doing another anniversary set, with a small sample size I'm pretty let down so far

How and why are they making a "What If..." so boring???

Seems more of ADW...I mean, I love Daredevil and Punisher, but seriously? Again? In low rarity slots? Geez. Are they the new Cap, Iron Man, and Thor? Also, does anyone find it strange that we are already getting unboxing videos? It still feels like ADW came out last week.

I remenber the last "anniversary" set was pretty good, for DC & marvel, this looks terrible.

My hope is quickly fading but I'm hoping for some 1602 action.
