T. Hawk tried to get as many as he could to some kind of help but he saw that Evil Ryu was tearing E. Honda up.

Finally E. Honda fell and T. Hawk was forced to step in and fight Evil Ryu himself.

The Covenant forces were held in check mostly by the superhero reinforcements such as Starhawk and Captain Comet. They had the versatility needed to hold an army at bay.

Day 75: Midafternoon; a replicated planet Rann in an alternate reality.

Private Augustus Cole of the Gears of War universe looked around. He was in full battlegear. He was curious how he had been separated from Marcus Fenix , Damon Baird and Dominic Santiago.

Now he wanted to know where exactly he was!

Guile was beginning a special assignment for the U.S. Air Force in tandem with the C.I.A. to investigate the Shadaloo organization.

He was expecting to coordinate with Cammy White and Chun-Li who would assist him.

He was not expecting to run into a rift in reality similar the one that took his brother in law earlier in the day.

Several drones (Yanme'e) of the Covenant had appeared armed with plasma pistols and began wreaking havoc on the hapless Rannians trying to conduct their ordinary business nearby. They were frightening in appearance, looking like huge flying insects. The fact that they could fly added to the terror they inspired.

Augustus Cole was drawn to the carnage of the drone attacks and began firing on the flying insects to try to defend the hapless victims of the creatures.

Cole was doing his best to suppress his own fear of insects.

The Yanme'e turned their attention to him.

Guile emerged from the rift in reality and saw several giant flying insects armed with futuristic pistols converging on a hapless lone soldier armed with a large also futuristic looking rifle who was trying to fend them off.

Guile was armed with a regulation m1911 .45 caliber pistol but he decided that attacking in Street Fighter mode would be more effective.

He charged in and attacked the drone soldiers of the Covenant.

T. Hawk was trying to defend himself from Evil Ryu. He couldn't even take time to see if E. Honda was alive or dead.

As he battled for his life, John 117; alias Master Chief, appeared in response to Avery Johnson's distress call.

He had not met T. Hawk so he knew nothing of the two combatants. He had no idea who was in the right or who was in the wrong.

He spotted the prostrate form of Sgt. Johnson and rushed to investigate, marveling that the man could be alive.

Johnson was just barely alive as Evil Ryu had nearly killed him.

Master Chief gathered up Johnson along with his gear and tried to rush his friend to get medical attention.

Ken Masters and Dee Jay escaped their bonds and soon enough found M. Bison, Vega and Sagat. They attacked the three and were joined by Fei Long.

Dee Jay battled Vega, Ken Masters attacked M. Bison and Fei Long engaged Sagat in battle.

Master Chief came upon Augustus Cole and Guile fighting several drones. They were badly outnumbered.

Master Chief set his burden down and lit into the Drones. He helped finish them off.

Augustus Cole and Guile approached Master Chief cautiously. They definitely had questions.

Master Chief had no time. He recognized Guile as having similar traits to the two combatants he saw fighting down the road. He told them both to investigate that while he rushed his friend to medical attention.

Augustus Cole and Guile did as he suggested, though they were a bit confused. John 117 promised he would rejoin them as soon as possible.

The Prophet of Regret found his forces shored up by the Yanme'e.

He felt more confident that he would take over Rann with these reinforcements.

The Armadillo came upon the battle waged between Evil Ryu and T. Hawk.

Cammy White recognized the combatants immediately and demanded they stop. She saw E. Honda's still form nearby and she insisted they let her out of the vehicle.

She jumped out and rushed to aid the faltering T. Hawk.

Marcus Fenix, Damon Baird and Dominic Santiago got out and tried to determine how they might help. Cammy was fighting in a way that was different to the way they fought. They fought as soldiers and this was some kind of mixed martial arts that she was using. They were reluctant to interfere.

Dominic Santiago checked on E. Honda and found the big Sumo wrestler was beginning to revive from his beatdown.

Soon E. Honda was aiding Cammy White and T. Hawk against Evil Ryu.

Augustus Cole and Guile arrived to find that Cammy White, T. Hawk and E. Honda were battling Evil Ryu while Augustus Cole's crew were watching with bemused expressions.

Augustus Cole rushed over to greet his team while Guile joined the fight against Evil Ryu.

Master Chief delivered his teammate for medical attention and reported what he'd encountered. The Rannians promised that it would be relayed to Adam Strange so that he could decide what steps to take.
