Were I to take a guess, based on their ratings so far:
saturnflight will give Hawkeye 2 shields, citing high attack and Precision strike helping to even the high AV, low damage thing Clint has going for him, with the large amount of armor and SS in this set making PS more valuable.
Jruffing will give him one shield because he just does not earn his keep, citing a low effective range of 10 and that Senses never seems to be on the people that need to be dealt with. He'll consistently do small amounts of damage in a set where you need to do a lot. Not really worth the investment, but there's worse filler.
We have the Hawkeye dial now, if the two of you would like to edit that in...
We'll let the joke stand.
But we will definitely rate that Hawkeye right here.

Movement: Elevated Origin: At the beginning of the game, if Hawkeye is part of an Avengers theme, he can use Avengers TA. Otherwise, he modifies attack and defense +1. Carnival Marksman: Precision Strike, but may use it with up to 2 targets. Saturnflight: Bringing multi-target Precision Strike back is enough to make me look the other way on Hawkeye's late arrival. But even with a non-themed stat boost, his defense is soft, leaving him vulnerable. One hit for 3 damage takes away all of his mobility. His defenses (and attack values) look better as he takes damage, not just because they stay high but because Energy Shield/Deflection bolsters them. The best strategy might be to push him to Running Shot, Sidestep back out of sight, and rely on his stats to get him by. A good 50 point piece that I know Jruffing will gush over, but I'm feeling a little more reserved.

Hawkeye comes with good AV no matter what, and a pretty solid defense at range if you push and forgo theme. I'd like his attack power a whole lot more if a good deal of the Colossals didn't come with a trait specifically nullifying it. Cosmic Entity makes Hawkeye one sad archer
Sorry to disappoint all those trying to call my shot for me, but you couldn't all be right anyway!

Sure I could have. and it's YOUR fault I'm wrong ya jerk!
So happy the primers are starting this week, I love reading them for the insight and jokes, plus this time it is by TWO players I know personally. We'll see how well their analysis holds up Tuesday(assuming Saturnflight can make it, and JRuffing usually pulls and rolls incredibly, so grain of salt and all that, lol).

I hope you read all the exposition- you'll get the jokes regarding the ratings system!
Always love to see these even though I almost never actually play in Sealed events. Fantastic work as always guys!
Given the preponderance of Outwit immunity I do wonder if ya'll are sleeping on Black Widow a smidgen. Seems like Perplex will be the power du jour to bust heavy reducers and she's one of the few front-loaded Perplexers in the set (and the only one under 100 points). 10/18 stats and perma-stealth also aren't awful and Support + MC after a push could have their uses.

Perplex is good, great even! But that top dial perplex is honestly the only thing about her dial I like. Slow speed, short range, and not ignoring hindering means she'll struggle to get to the fight on her own. She'd need to use her perplex on herself just to be an OKish attacker. I'd rather get my perplex on a dial that can justify itself, like Venom Spaceknight.
And while a Guardians theme team may not be too likely, giving up an Avengers theme team could be a real choice. Theme team probability control can be just what you need for those make or break rolls and if one of the release maps are indoors that'll be huge with colossals everywhere.

Technically, he's right, but I don't want that to go to his head.
Great assessments from two stalwart realmsers. Probably the most divergent opinions on any dueling Primer, but both of you guys had great points. Thanks for the hard work!

It was a stated goal of ours to conflict. But as it turned out, we didn't need to artificially change anything. :D
