With the Simpson's downward slide in quality over the last 20 years, the idea seemed sad at first, but the idea of Wolfcastle as Radioactive Man is so amazing it needs to be done.
My eyes! The Goggles do nothing! - Toughness. All damage dealt to Radioactive man is penetrating.
I think, technically, all of this is dependent upon a court's approval, isn't it? And I'm sure someone out there, somewhere, will try to challenge it. I have no doubt, though, that Disney's robot army of lawyers will get this done, so no worry there.
As someone mentioned, they were always legally capable of licensing the Fantastic Four for Clix, toys, shirts, cards, etc. Fox did not have to sign off on the recent Legends figures, for example. It was Perlmutter's hissy-fit an internal decision at Marvel which limited their use.

The report I saw had it this was already approved on the government side (which is why Disney got involved to begin with; Comcast was likely to be challenged).
It's as done a deal as it was when Disney announced buying Star Wars.

Yeah the deal got government approval a while ago. They were just waiting on the shareholder vote. This is 100% officially a done deal now.
Technically they have to get approval from like 10 other countries where Fox has a footprimt. Likely wont be more than a formality other than a rumor that China could hold up approval as part of the current trade issues with the US.

I'm going to have to ask for a source on this one. It's a rather large detail to go unreported so far.
Only an approval from the FTC was done, FCC approval still to come.
Oh? I thought both had to be done before the vote?
As for the "10 other countries" thing, that's literally the first I've heard of anything along those lines, and I've been paying pretty good attention to this thing.

Ah, so I see. Nothing specific, though. That may just have to do with owning local stations and what not. Disney would likely just cut anything loose that trips up the process.
Realistically, there's probably nothing that's actually going to stop the merger at this point.
