Yeah the deal got government approval a while ago. They were just waiting on the shareholder vote. This is 100% officially a done deal now.

Technically they have to get approval from like 10 other countries where Fox has a footprimt. Likely wont be more than a formality other than a rumor that China could hold up approval as part of the current trade issues with the US.

I'm going to have to ask for a source on this one. It's a rather large detail to go unreported so far.

As for the "10 other countries" thing, that's literally the first I've heard of anything along those lines, and I've been paying pretty good attention to this thing.
