I have to say after playing Spider-Queen in a pre-release I feel like Saturnflight really missed some key things about her.
1. Potential 5 damage pulsewave on her own - there's only two figures in sealed that this wont destroy
2. Stop click - not only is it a click with 19 and invicible, but outwit protections and colossal stamina while she can still heal 2 off of KOing a figure.
3. Traited poison with a set that has quite a few figures lacking reducers. There were several times that she healed up after poisoning a figure to death.
I'm not saying she's the best super rare, or a guaranteed win, but definitely deserves a higher ranking just for that top click and stop click alone.
I strongly disagree with both of your assessment of spider-Hulk. Saw him beat Regent (an OK player had Hulk and an campion had Regent BTW. And it wasn't like the champ rolled bad. He DID K.O. Hulk. But Hulk did his damage and Regent's fate was sealed!) Also, Hulk has a 12 move and Plasticity... How do you "run circles" around that?

I'm leery about tentpoles in sealed. That definitely influenced my rating. And properly using Spider-Queen is a high skill task.

2 tentpoles fighting give very different results than a tentpole vs. a balanced team. Hulk is great against other high-cost SRs, especially as he leaves room for support. But Hulk will struggle against a 6-man Valley team, for example.
Between Maestro, Worldbreakers, and the two She-Hulks, the gamma crew has been treated quite well this set.
Not what I'm arguing. I'm arguing that a seven-square Charge (with Giant Size) with Super Strength, 11 AV, and Invincible shouldn't be seen as a "disappointing" opening click.
Hence "#### power creep."
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?
I am curious about Regent. I can't really see why he earns his expensive 240 price tag. I understand that getting free powers is a heck of a boon and his stats are potent but so are everyone else's in the set. The main value difference between his starting dial and Uncommon She-Hulk's is one movement point and two range, and she's 1/3rd of the cost. I'm concerned in a set full of killers he'll be unable to ramp up in time to really justify running him at full point with barely any aid
I'm with you on regent. Considering what we get for 200+ points these days, he doesn't impress with those combat values. At 200 even I would be much more confident in the piece, but as is he's packing the same numbers as pieces half his point cost.
"I remember you said to me once, you said... 'if death ever comes your way and won't let you pass... make sure you scream right back in his face"
Honestly, given his size, you'd probably have a better chance just cherry picking Destroyer Thor out of a brick at your local store.

I just think Regent is a huge target and gets outactioned before he can really shine.
I'm also very surprised at Nick the Fury's high-points rating.
There are a lot of efficient little figures (many of then commons) that can swarm these guys.

Admittedly I wasn't there, I don't know what any of the other figures where or how they were positioned and I'm not saying I'm the smartest player in the world even if I did know all of that.
But I think Regent going for Spider-Hulk before every other figure is dead is a huge mistake.
Regent has very little to fear from Hulk when they're both top dial. Shoot someone else first (he has one of the farthest reaches of the set) and -2 Hulk's attack if he's in charge range. Once Hulk uses his object Regent can perplex his damage -1 and Hulk cannot hurt Regent at all without a crit or some external help. Regent can continue to shoot other weaker characters within range even with Hulk in his face thanks to this

Choose the Best Powers to Protect and Improve Me: Regent has PROTECTED: Outwit, Pulsewave, and Penetrating/Psychic Blast. //At the beginning of your turn, choose an improved targeting ability to use until your next turn.
Let Regent pick up Combat Reflexes or Flurry or Regeneration or Prob or whatever and he can start hitting Hulk to his good clicks with much more confidence.
There are 2 figures in the 150+ club with a printed 3 damage up top, both got 1's from me. It's just too low for the cost. Half your team hitting a figure with Invulnerable and coming away from a successful attack with only 1 damage doesn't scare me at all.
Hulk's mid dial upswing is substantial, but his top dial doesn't give me much incentive to hit him there until I'm good and ready to deal with it
Regent is my kinda piece. i love characters that reward you for fighting, and he does just that. having access to stealth busting is insane to me. kill a figure like redwolf, and now you have stealth all game.
Regent served me well, even in the game in which he had a critical miss. It was just too easy for the Regent to get Line-of-Fire on targets. My general strategy was to try to cripple/KO the most aggressive figure on the opposing team first, which usually provided Invincible (gotta have a back-up damage reducer), but in one game he took Outwit instead, as the rest of that opposing force was going to have trouble with damage reducers.
I didn't get to play Regent against the Thanos that was pulled, but he did have some trouble with Spider-Queen, until she was out of Mastermind fodder.

Smart.
I lost a game because Nick the Fury couldn't roll a 6 on at least 7 tries.
My son pulled and played Regent at 240.
0-3 scoring 60 points.
He faced several 2 figure teams and so could never KO a figure 50+ points and score a power. Likewise, being outactioned if he faced a swarm would be problematic. He conceded his map choice wasn't ideal but he got dropped by Destroyer Thor Prime (penetrating damage), a team relying on lots of Empower, and a team fielding Arkon (again, penetrating damage).
Note: Regent may be protected from Psy-Blast/Penetrating but that "penetrating damage" Destroyer and Arkon dish out (and others) is not part of that power he is protected from. Regent is a real gamble at 240.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
Destroyer A, Doc Ock, and one of the Iron Man was the winning team at our pre-release. They dominated every game, winning one games with 3 straight crit hits by Destroyer A. The other games were all done in roughly 5 minutes. The dice was burning hot.
The only SR pulled that might have given him a fight was Regent, but he went 1-2. Our other SR pulled was Gertrude & old Lace. The player choose to run it instead of chase Odin because he had 3 runaways on his team.
