so whats this all mean?
if i perplex v ultrons damage up to 5 and do an EE on 3 targets i can spread the damage out to 2, 2, and 1 so the splash would be the 2 2 and 1 or just 1 splash all around??
im kinda driving myself insane trying to figure it out
This situation came up today while I wuz playin. My fren did a triple enhanced range attack with Cylops towards my Silver Samurai, Sabretooth and Destiny.
The question is, does he have to distribute the damage first when he hits b4 I roll Destiny's Super Sense or vice versa?
I thought w/ figs in Clint Bartens case that since his RCE would allow him to do 2 damage to a single fig then if he were to target multiple figs. wouldn't his damage be 1 even though his damage rating is 0?

RCE cannot be used with multiple targets. The rule amendment bring multiple targets into line with Mech Warriors Dark Age. The damage you do is what is printed on the dial. 2 damage can be split between successful hits.
A fig can have 3 arrows but only 2 damage. You can therefore target 3 figures for a better chance of hitting at least one. On a successful hit for any figure (1 out of 3) you can pass all the damage onto that figure, whereas before the damage was limited to 1 click.
If you hit 2 out of 3, then you decide if you want to give 2 damage to one figure or 1 damage to each.
if you hit 3 figures successfully, you choose which figs take damage out of the 3 hit, still with the option of giving the full damage to one figure.
This can be usefull, as targeting one figure and you miss, then you have not damaged a figure. Now you target the figure you want ( the most powerfull) and 2 other figs that are easier to hit. You successfully hit the most powerful figure, you pass all the damage on to that figure. Miss this one you can still damage on of the other targets. Good startegy in some conditions.
The downside of this rule, if a fig has 0/1 then they cannot divide damage up, whereas under the pervious rules, damage was 1 click. this allowed characters to do more damage than they should. Cyclops/Clint Barton being able to pass 3 clicks of damage on multiple targets.
Helps some what thanx! I am still bugged why they bothered to give figs up to three arrows but they can only target one if they only do one damge or two if they do 2 damage It just seems pointless to have done it that way

A figure with 1 damage can still target more than 1 enemy figure it just has 1 damage to allocate. As sk8erboi said this allows you to target the figure you want to hit and an easier to hit back up figure. Aslo Perplex and Enhancement can still increase the damage.
I much prefer the new rule which stops figures doing more damage than they could otherwise do by using a multiple attack.
