As others have said, you really need Reloads (x3) to get Final Countdown. Getting Final Countdown mid game is simply unacceptable. Also, while your burner cards are great, I think you would be served better by life gain cards. White Magician P. + Scapegoats would gain you 2000 LP per turn. The biggest problem I had with my F/C deck was losing to burn or burn oriented cards (Cease Fire, Ring). The 2000 payment of FC is simply a lot to take especially if your opponet gets a single hit in on you. Giant Trunades are also a pain as they take away all of your defenses. In my Deck, I ran more traps and used Spell Cancellor with Gravity Bind. Once I had that setup and a couple of White Magicins, the game was generally mine.
MrSinister: You have an interesting combination there, but with WMP and the goats, that would nullify my Spatial Collapse, because that would be 5 cards...therefore my opponent could take out WMP... The Spell Canceller w/GB, is interesting....thanks.
Theres other lock-down formats available. Scour threads for ideas. Im sure someone has already worked out some good lockdown engine.
IMO, I think FC should be an alternate win condition in a deck. A slow but powerful combo deck. FC is too slow on its own for a solid win condition. Most decks I run usually need less than 5 cards to kill and setup really fast (look at my Oath deck and my Dodgeball). Kill too quickly with minimal cards. FC is too slow. If it were just used as an end-game countdown while you run a serious lock deck that prevents opponent from really doing anything, then it becomes a more effective scare / deadline since opponent will struggle to do something, but your deck with keep them under wraps while the countdown runs. Evil .... yes?
Metalzoav2: I agree, there needs to be an alternate win condition, hence the Nightmare Wheels, WMC, Mask of the Accursed & LG...my side deck is also the burn potion of it. What has really hurt me as well is Royal Decree, stops my Ojama, Spatial & Thunder Rulers, but as you know, there aern't many people who have one...myself and one other guy I know have one. I never ran up against it in any tourney. It is slow, yes, but that's ok with me, I'm in no rush...lol.... See most people want to play this game fast and end it as soon as possible, when they run into my deck, it's lick hitting a brick wall...s l o w n e s s. . . . . (read as slow motion...) I will look for lock-downs...but in playing mine, I have achieved a lockdown many times with Spatial, Ojama and Ground Collaps...thanks for your input. :+)
regeki404: I used to run that until I found out it only for one turn then they can switch back...lol..but I have been thinking about putting it back in..I may swap it out for Nightmare Wheel as Accursed works on Jinzo...he he he he...thanks.
I run the same deck... but VERY different. Necrovelley w/ Tousand-Eyes.
[40] Main Deck:
[5] Non-Tribute:
[1] Sinister (Uneffected by Necro, combos w/ Jammer, TIV, Meta, Creature Swap)
[1] Twin-Headed Behemoth (Uneffected by Necro)
[1] Fiber Jar (In case all hell breaks loose)
[1] Morphing Jar (your hand goes quick with this deck, so why not?
[1] TIV (Quick threat removal)
[28] Magic:
[3] FC
[3] Necrovalley - (no pesky ressurections or BLS. Opponent will spend more time/M/T removal taking this out than your stallers)
[3] Scapegoat - (combos w/ Meta & Creature Swap)
[3] Metamorphosis
[3] Royal Tribute - (rids their hand of monsters & you get a free peek at what's coming at you. Who cares what they see, they know they're up against a stall, therefore, they know what they're up against.)
[3] Dragged Down - (same as above, except you get to discard whatever's bothering you in their hand & make them discard one of the remaining 2 FCs)
[2] LLAB
[2] MoP
[2] Creature Swap - (you will never be getting something worse in return with what this deck is running... take their BLS and start removing their pesky monsters or just remove the BLS you just took)
[3] Book of Moon (never hurts... nice to use morphing a couple of times. Can be used in response to BLS's summoning if you have a face-down, or Book of Moon one of your monsters in response to TIV, also combos with a face-up Thousand-Eyes on your side... they summon something strong, Book of Moon it, and they can't flip it face-up until your Thousand-Eyes is dealt with, etc...)
[1] Reload - (ppl run 3 field cards + 1 Terraforming, we use 3 FCs + 1 Reload)
[7] Trap:
[2] GB
[2] Curse of Royal
[3] Magic Jammer
[40] Fusions:
A sh*t load of 'em. But you'll really be using the 3 Thuosand-Eyes. It's a good psych-out when you play someone you've never played before.
I hope this opened some new concepts for you. If not, oh well.
I like the deck, though u seem suscpetible to heavy/trunade/mst I would ad in either solemn/m-jammmer or spell shield type 8, even with the errata it could be useful with as many spells u are playing
Well I use Solemns in place of the Jammers (side decked), but I posted it with Jammers in the Main to avoid the rush of "are you crazy... you already threw out 2000 LP... blah, blah, blah"... funny that it's the other way around.
Solemn is personally my FAVOURITE card. It stops everything. And with majority of the decks I play (FC, LT, DB), LP doesn't even matter.
As far as the Trunades go, most players have them sided, and bust 'em out after they know what they're up against... that's when I play cheap and side in 3 Buttons & 3 Walls. WIN:DRAW:DRAW = WIN!!!!
synn: Not sure if he was talking to you about the deck, I think it was meant for me, seeing that it's my thread...lol. Interesting rendition of a FC deck.
To both, I have made changes using some RDS cards, which can guarantee and automatic win, by locking down my opponent. Here it is:
Ojama Trio x3
Spatial Collapse x2
Xing Zhen Hu x3
It's a great combo, I just haven't updated my FC deck. Thanks for the comments.
