To those who said you cant chain to a summoning, what do you call it when i summon a gemini elf and you activate Torrential tribute? its called chaining to gemini elfs summoning.... just clarifying that up a bit, summonings can be chained to, but not most in the case of divive wrath's effect

You ARE NOT chaining to the actual summoning. The summoning is like when they go "I summon Gemini Elf in attack position." You cannot chain in response to that because that has no spell speed so you cannot chain to it. Torrential Tribute is being activated in response the monster hitting the field, which is not the same.
Exodia is a hand effect not an effect of a monster on the field so it wouldn't work
The effect doesn't have to be on the field for it to work. It can be a hand, field or graveyard activated effect for Divine Wrath to work on it. The thing is, Exodia does not "activate" it just happens as soon as you get all 5 pieces and declare it.
Actually Jinzo is killed by Divine Wrath. When Jinzo is summoned, as soon as it hits the field, the effect is activated. However, since Divine Wrath is a Counter Trap and Spell Speed 3 while Jinzo is only Spell Speed 2, You can activate Divine Wrath to counter the attempted activation of Jinzo's effect. Even though you don't have a choice in activating Jinzo's effect, Divine Wrath is faster thaN Jinzo's effect.
Dude, do you make this stuff up as you type, or is this a story someone else has duped you with?

Dude, you claim to be a Level 2 judge? Nice try. It's obvious you've never seen the Advanced Gameplay FAQ on UDE's website because the first sentence under the Summons and Chains section says:
Quote
You CANNOT chain to a Summon, because a Summon does not have a Spell Speed (it is not listed on page 21 of the rulebook on the Spell Speed chart).
It's in the rulebook, for Christ's sake! This is the basic, basuic stuff here guys, not rocket science.
Edit: I will give you credit for cutting and pasting the ruling for Divine Wrath from www.n e t r e p. n e t. It's obvious many posters in this thread have not heard of it. It should be in a sticky or FAQ for this section of Realms.
nothing just happens in yugioh! Exodia is a multi-trigger effect that takes place when you get all five pieces in hand. I need a explianation on why divine wrath wont work!!!
Hes a Victory Condition, not really an effect.
Exodia doesnt activate he sorta just happens.
Please read the Stickies at the top of the Rules of Dueling, there is an extensive thread on Divine Wrath there.
As for what the Netreps says
Quote
Is the effect of "Exodia the Forbidden One" considered
a Multi-trigger effect, a Continuous effect, or merely
a "Condition"? I've always been told it was a
Multi-Trigger effect since you could claim victory if
you achieved all 5 pieces in your hand during either
player's turn. But if it is a Multi-Trigger effect,
couldn't the other player activate "Divine Wrath" to
negate the effect of "winning" and in the process
destroy "Exodia the Forbidden One" and dropping it in
the Graveyard?
Thanks in advance.

Answer:
Not a chance.
The player gets all 5 pieces of Exodia in their hand. They win. The duel is over.
What are you chaining to?
