Agree 100%!!! I dont use chaos at all!!!! In fact I made a zombie deck, so that it can counter one!! If my opp. is really pushin me to the edge wif his chaos deck, I might even swap in 1 Soul Release to prevent dat irritating BLS frm coming out!!! Lolx. BLS truly kills the game....no originality...spoils EVERYTHING....Konami should really ban the card already...sick and tired of seeing BLS at least once whenever I have duels at my local gaming shop....

Months Ago? I knew an NS member who was using it in his Exodia Deck when it first Came out, ofcourse he Combo'ed it with Primal Seeds.

I have read every thread today on how bls is evil in the beginning of the day i was defended of my soldier saying there tons ways to kill him so shut up but by mid-day i start looking real hard at the soldier in my warrior/chaos( I love warriors) deck it runs well and does not used the soldier often but i began to think maybe this card is evil what if can't win with out it, now all of you have shown me today that this warrior should have stay in it's own chaos world and should have never enter yugioh. I say do not ban it I say fight we it we can not hide it is here to stay as duelist we can out smart this soldier and make where people fear running it tonite we all pull out our warriors, dragons, spellcasters, fiends, machines, zombies to stand united against chaos. so watch chaos because tonight my new warriors/spellcasters deck declare war against you I ask all those who hate the evil chaos monsters to stand with me.

I run a chaos deck but it does not rely on one card. It relies on three cards that have the potential to stop the supposed "GOD" Card of realm. To rely on one card is a disgrace to duelists everywhere. Great article I am glad someone is trying to stop the abuse of a single card

oh come on.... so many people saying they use him but not mutch LISTEN TO A.J. ITS DENIAL. I dont blame People for using it its powerful. but my strongest is dmoc, and there is a cirtain person i know that no matter how complex the combo is and how mutch i have him on the ropes "ok ive been saving this sak light and dark, 1st bls goes medevil on dmoc then secound attack for game" now that is injustice, and if you have him in you're deck you know you've scored MORE than enough cheap wins with him. Again I dont blame you for running him I JUST F-ING HOPE HE GETS BANNED SOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's so hard to fight i enraged Rhino whith a tin can.... XD i do have a funny memmory though i remmembor once I Gave a kuriboh 3 Axes and killed a BLS but the thing had already don WAY to mutch damage, and this was before the age of the new ban list so he summuned a Chaos emp and Blew me up for game. I still lost, BUT I KILLED BLS WITH KURIBOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used to play the BLS but now i find it hard to turn my deck back to chaos as i use beasts now andi like the fact that you can beat the chaos deck before they even get the solider as i trample my way to victory i find that the beast deck is more solid than the chaos deck as you dont need to rely on the solider to win my duels

If its any consolation morpheus, i dont even have one :D, i traded a long time ago for a mystical knight of jackal and a promo kuriboh (<--pride and joy). i run an archfiend deck and it has no place their......i still get wupped by it when someone else uses it but at least i can rest safe in the knowledge that i use cards that arent ridiculously easy to bring out and devistatingly easy to win with....i salute anyone who dosent use the BLS....keep on dueling good buddy ;)

You know...I haven't been on in awhile mostly because YGO Realms basically doesn't update the main features why they WERE the best. Were kinda behind like 6 sets and at least 10-15 promo cards here folks!

But after reading this...let me reply.

BLS is just the hottest flavor of the month. Like Yata, like when BLS had his running buddy CED. Stop whining about it. It is always the trend to go with the cards that the champions and winners play with because you know why? We want to win too. Find other ways to counter him if you don't like him very much. When BLS gets banned (which is the rumor that I keep hearing after the fact that he will be the new Promo cards in the Master Collection Volume 2) ppl will find new cards to counter this and ppl will COPY THAT deck.

You ppl rag on BLS but yet you fail to notice that are certain cards that are reaching where MST was sometime back. Cards that now are getting way abused. I'm talking about Metamorphosis, Dust Tornado, Scapegoat, and Book of Moon. These cards are getting ridiculously overplayed ever since Advanced was introduced in the first place (maybe even longer than that) and most decks are not only running BLS, but like 10 Fusion Monsters (along with duplicates of Metamorphosis) to abuse that like crazy, 3 copies of Book of Moon, and around 2-3 copies of Dust Tornado. Scapegoat is kinda iffy because some ppl play 1 of him and some ppl play 2 of him. Right now BLS is the scape goat because certain ppl are ignoring these cards.

I'll say it before and I'll say it again (even though I haven't said it here in awhile). Originality in Yu-Gi-Oh! is dead! Go ahead and try to make a original deck (I did and I made 2 of them) but the bottom line is this:

When it comes to deckmaking, you go with the flock (BBBBAAAAAA!!!) or you die. Simple as that.

Very few people in my area have BLS. I'm one of the lucky ones.

I would like to see a day when the solider was gone, personally I perfer my good friends the magical scientist and injection fairy over him any day of the week. you can always have a tourney with house rules for no solider it gets very interesting. I run him in my deck as more of a last resort against the oponents solider, alot of the time when I get him out I morph him in to a gattling dragon drop all for of their goats in one turn. then if you need you can always call him back later. oops Ive been rambling again havent I, well thats my 2 cents on the subject.

I hear ya Morpheus. It saddens me to see so many great cards in this game thrown to the wind because it's not BLS.

My Theory is that if a person is as good as they claim to be, then they really should try to free themselves of as you put it "The Golden Crutch" and try to win i different ways.

I think for me, my win condidtion was always "Get my opponent's Life Points down to Zero." Even when I ran Chaos Soldier myself, he was Never my "Win Condition" to me he was just a really big beatstick. I never NEEDED to pull him out to win, but often times I pulled him out anyway.

I was never fully reliant on him and I think because of that I was able to more easily free myself of his control.

im sry, but this is enough, there have been 32468956928 articles on how much BLS sucks, its time to stop crying, and either make more articles on how to beat him, or just not make then about BLS at all, you all are over exadgerating his use. And please dont tell me "hes in my deck but i hardly ever use him" yeah right, thats a load of crap if you hardly ever used him, and you had some brains you would put something els in your deck in place of him. Yes i have recently made a chaos deck, and run BLS, but he is BY FAR not a win condition. YATA was a win condition. Iv played a bunch of chaos decks, and played people with my chaos deck. im not going to lie, when i get BLS ill use him to my advantage. but at least 50%++ percent of the time, if not more, i dont lose to bls, nor do i kill some one w/ bls. Hell i kill more people with Jinzo than i do bls, and vice versa.

Yes bls is cheap, because if he gets on the field and is able to attack w/o trap cards hurting him, hes likely to win the game, or turn it HIGHLY in your favor. But most of the time its not like that.

Yes i make plenty of so called "Origonal" decks, and i love them, but if it always won, and i took it to SJC and won, and people copied some how it wouldnt be origonal any more, so your pretty much saying build a deck that sorta works, but not good enough to take a tournament.

So come on a give us some articles on some things that could actualy be useful. Now ill stop my ranting, because i love this site but god. eventualy konami will probably ban him, and then there will be another cookie cutter out there that every one will hate why... because yugioh is just a stupid game like that. (though i dont plan on quitting or anything like that its a fun game but god... some times you think the maker were idiots compared to vs-system and MTG makers..)

How many of us are trying to figure out what cards best counter this single card?

How many of us build a deck with the idea in the back of our head of A) How to utilize BLS or B) How to stop BLS?

This single card completely dominates the thought processes and current metagame. I don't care how much people try to reason away, debate, flame, argue, try to shift the target to other abused cards*, or otherwise defend the Soldier, it is simply too powerful and is a blight on origionality and creativity.

Flame me if you want. Tell me to quit whining if you want. Tell me there's so many ways to counter this card, I've heard all the pontification and the proselytization and it's all a bunch of whitewash and self denial. Deep down, you all know this card should not be allowed and many, many people rely on the golden crutch to assure their victory at any cost.

*To compare or equate Book of Moon, Scapegoat, Dust Tornado and Metamorphosis to BLS is laughable.
