Ya gotta remember that Cybernetic Magician brings there attack TO 2000, not increasing it by 2000. It would be at 2000 then boosted by 3000 in the damage step. =o
Thanks,
Azurai Aeon
Wrong. Cybernetic Magician's effect changes the target's attack to 2000, no less, no more, even if it's equipped with something to boost it's stats, or has an effect that allows it to boost it's attack. It doesn't bring their attack up from their original attack, but instead gives them a new attack score for the turn that it's effect is activated. So, with Injection Fairy Lily, Her attack would be 2000, and only 2000, even if you paid LP during the damage step.
Since "Cybernetic Magician" makes the ATK "become" 2000, that is the new value. Even if the monster was equipped with an Equip Spell Card, the ATK is 2000 and is not adjusted, even if the Equip Spell Card is destroyed. (However, if equipped after the effect of "Cybernetic Magician" resolves, the ATK will be adjusted from the new level of 2000 points.)
But anyway, onto the deck. Now, I've found that in my Spellcaster Deck, GK Spy wasn't working out too well. It could only bring out itself, and if hit with Nobleman, well, there went two good cards. But, that's your personal preference, and I understand if you would like to leave them in there. But, in my opinion, I believe the following changes should be done.
- Gravekeeper's Spy
- Gravekeeper's Spy
+ Shining Angel (To get out Silent Magician)
+ Apprentice Magician
very nice build i like it...if i would use this deck i would kill tsukuyomi for magician of blast chaining or whatever that cards called but i like the deck the way it is good job
My beautiful spellcaster deck! Oh the wonder of playing spellcaster without a single Dark Magician card in sight. Its marvelous. Kycoo's in to stem the chaos/necrofear tide, as well as deny my opponent the ability to use Call and Premmy effectively. OVM's searchable by APPY Mage for quick removal, and chaos sorc untill Magical Dimension so I can MD DMoC and get back MD, to summon another kycoo, or something.
Lily packs a wallop and is easily fetched by circle. Circle, spy, and appy mage make for quite a few thinners in the deck, so its wicked fast. The side deck contains all that I need to go against a various spread of decks. Everything seems to be good on my side of this, but what could I change oh realms goers?

dark magican pwns this deck :P . just playing though it would be intresting to see my dark magician deck against this deck...
-magicians circle x1(this card can get kinda slow,i prefer it in ones simpally beacuse you generally have to make a succsecful atack for it to work. generally the oppenets only spellcasters are breaker and mof,and mof doesnt atack often,id side deck one of thoes though
+skilled dark magician(this is a nesscesity in a spellcaster deck dark magician or not its a 1900 beatstick, deffintly a spot should be in here for this guy imo)
-lightning vortex(this card is good and all but id sidedeck it beacuse the discarding factor and in this format of this game, you generally cant afford to discard)
+messanger of peace/swords of revealing light(depends one should be in the sidedeck when facing mass swam beatdownish stuff and the other should be in when tommato control starts to run loose)
-gravekeeper spy x2(noblemen... and besides you dont run any tributes in here,i mean i know about the whole deck thinging thing but still....)
+skilled dark magician(this is a nesscesity in a spellcaster deck dark magician or not its a 1900 beatstick, deffintly a spot should be in here for this guy imo)
+dark magician(he pwns n stuff lol)
-giant trunade(sidedeck for heavy stall and stall burn)
+dark magic atack(cant count how many times this thing has saved my <insert the word with an a and two s"s here> in the few weeks ive had it)

I just wanted to clarify this with an excerpt from the on-line rulings database, RONIN.

Point being, that its possible to adjust the attack value higher. If you use Cybernetic Magician's effect BEFORE battle, then use IFL's effect post-facto, I don't see why it wouldn't work in the same fashion.
This card's effect can only be activated during the Damage Step of either player's turn when this card battles. Pay 2000 Life Points to increase the ATK of this monster by 3000 points during the Damage Step only.
Note that it merely increases the attack of the card. Nowhere does it state that it changes it. (By the way, when I say changes it, I mean in the way that Cybernetic Magician's effect does, as in resetting the value to a new static number.)
Anyway, this isn't meant to flame you or anything, I just felt it was something that should be pointed out.
By the way Agent, I like the deck, and would love to try it out sometime. I personally would like to hear how it plays against the top decks in the meta, before and after you get your hands on Magical Dimension.
Get rid of all that Silent Magician stuff. it's kinda slowin the deck down.instead you should add some light monsters that would do you some good, and another apprentice. Chaos sorcerer is kinda too good to get rid of,but you want to thats ok.with kycoo main decked, he'd only slow you down
