if you run a warrior deck, you should have no problem depleting your hand, if you made it right
Actually, if you made ANY deck WRONG, you should have no problem emptying your hand. You make it sound like a small hand is the ultimate goal of the deck. Actaully it is just an inevitable predicament that you want to try to hold off for as long as possible. As you are trying to hold of the inevitable, Chaosrider is better than Blade Knight.
flip effects are slowly fading off, morphing jar being the only true exception. people are realizing dekiochi and such are ok but require a more specific deck to shine in, and most people just cookie up. I was still using mof, until recently. Monsters dont lat long at all these days, so it can be hard to set a mof if they are bearing down on you. The typical deck might run 3 flips top, morphing, mof, and merchant/cyber jar. that generous too because i see alot of decks with none or just one flip effect. The chances of using bks first effect is becoming slimmer and slimmer, meaning its usually only good for a beatstick, and it cant compare to gustaph in that departement. Some people would argue if you use the effects multiple times you run out of spells, but rarely does a monster last more than 1 turn anyway with all the monster removal around.
not too true. While the use of monster removal has risen, not too many deal with face down monsters. you got dark hole, Exiled force, and MSlv2. along with the one nobleman. everything is is more or less face up. I think nobleman's restriction has spurred a change that fluxuates. you get some rise and some fall in the use of flip effects. that being said, BKn is still the strongest of the 2 in my opinion. the level of powefor all 4 mentioned basically goes in this order
in the new format how many times have u been able to successfully negate a flip effect with blade knight? very few i doubt. i bet more times u draw blade knight when neither of its effects will help you. Blade knight isnt a bad card anymore but its not consistent, and bubble man is trash im sorry. you have to have no field or hand to draw 2 cards, way too situational. As far as zombrya goes thats a toss up, it can be great or really bad, depends on when u bring him out.
i did some research on the last top 8 decklists from sjc. the only deck with any real use from blade knight stopping a flip effect was one running 3 dekiochi and a magician of faith. all the rest ran basically 1 mof, no flips, or mof and another maybe. spys made an appearance but bk cant help against those. Besides that theres ms lv2 to handle flips much more efficiently, it seems to me like if ur trying to use bk to stop flips its kind of a waste, it wont happen very often. Im working on building a toolbox deck with gustaphs and playtesting it to see first hand which one works better, ill post my findings as soon as i get enough duels in for good comparison.
well if you're looking for fd removal (everyone's gonna laugh) how about sasuke #4? HE been pretty decent in playtesting. Not sure on the ruling if he is fd.... I'm also thinking of "teching" a command knight in warrior toolbox. also what do people think about wildheart????? his anti trap effect is pretty nifty. As for chaos rider i dont like it. Only in a warrior based removal deck. Blade knight is one of my favorites but he just doesn't cut it anymore. I can't WAIT until I get a dimensional warrior!
another thing i like about gustaph is sangan can nab it, basically making it so u can nab a 2000 attack monster with sangan, along with rota thats good searchability. wildheart is interesting but it needs protection or a power boost to do any real damage. Maybe i should just do a deck with bk, gustaph, zombrya, and all the other culprits, that way im ready for anything.
