No, no,no,no, no, NO!!!

Do not get rid of the Spear Dragons!!!!! They pwn TOO MUCH to be replaced....Luster isn't a bad choice but Spear adds so much more of an aggressive factor to the deck since most duelists feel safe having set a Spirit Reaper.

Out of the time when I first got 3 Spear Dragons (a week after LOD was released) up to now, I've only played 2 in my main deck in only 2 tournaments, losing both of them. That 3rd just gives that extra aggressive kick.

I see your point Phenom, Spear dragon really helped me out last night. I'll keep the lusters in my Red-Eyes deck. thanks.

I got a cyber dragon over the weekend and I'm thinking of putting it back in here until I get enough cards to make a cyber dragon deck. I might take out the 2nd D.D. Assailant to make room for it and put her in a different deck. I want some opinions though. I also made a few changes to the side deck and I think it is stronger now.

This deck got me to top 8 out of 28 today in a local tournament. That's the best I've done with it so far.

Some changes i'm thinking of making:

That's probably not a bad idea. I had Cyber in before and I wanted to put him back in, but I got my third one and now I'm building a Cyber Dragon deck. I could switch him in before tournaments I guess. Or I could try and get a 4th one. Thanks for the comment.

I've updated my deck according to what happened to me in the last tournament I played in. I'm still debating whether or not to add Cyber Dragon back to the deck. I don't really see room for him anymore since GAF took his place. With GAF being stronger and searchable, I think I will just forget putting Cyber Dragon back in.

I've updated my deck for the April 1st Limited/Restricted list. I went with a big change that I have been thinking of for a while: dropping the dragon theme and going with Mystic Tomato and a more dark theme. I guess the new list was just the push I needed to get there. I'm going to play test a little and if this new version doesn't work out, I'll switch back to the dragons. I'm angry about loosing Cyber Jar and Dark Hole, but I'll get over it. Please take a look and let me know what you think. I will return the favor.

I played with the new format in a tournament Saturday and made it to the top 4 out of more than 30 people. My record that day was 4/1/0, even after a bad call by the judege during the third game:

He wouldn't let me use my Level Modualtion on my Horus LV8 even though it was summoned by LV6's effect. I told him it was ruled that you could on Upperdeck's site, but he didn't care. So I went with LV6 and beat the guy anyway. (that's the second week in a row that I beat that guy, the first time he used a burn deck and this time was a Dark World deck) I went home and printed the ruling after the tournament and showed it to the judge later. I told him I did my homework before I made my deck.

Anyway, now that I've dropped all the dragons (except Horus) and went with a more dark theme, my deck is running great. I think I'm going to tweak the side deck a little for next time. Side decking the 2nd Horus LV8 actually helped, especially when I was allowed to use Level Modulation. I might just drop the second one and put something else in. Let me know what you think. I'll take a look at your deck too.

Hmmm...I do like what your doing but it looks like your pretty open to effect monsters...And with no Magician of Faith, I don't see you getting back your offensive magic card. So I'll say that you could probably drop the Tomatos for Magicians of Faith.

I think along side treeborn frog you should play twin - headed behemoth... it works wonderfully. i tribute it all the time. one problem i see is you losing field control with those goblin attack forces. i suppose they are 1 for 1's, but i like to have a few monsters with staying power or net me an advantage... 1 for 1's are good, but if you have too many monsters that net you a 1 for 1 you'll never gain the upper hand, well.. I guess you might, but it'll take you longer. I guess a lot of cards aren't really guaranteed staying power. ehh.. I probably lost you, I'm a crazy idiot ignore a lot of whay I said. you need to get a pot of avarice... it's helped me soo much in my horus deck it's crazy. your deck does look pretty nice though.... I just like to post a lot about these decks, because horus has been my favorite to tweek... just, because it has taken so long for me to get it to run the way i want it to.. take a look at mine.

Monsters
Along with pulling Don Zaloog and Spirit Reaper, Mystic Tomato is there for field presence. Like you said Uber, those goblins can cost me field control sometimes. Tomato and Frog are my backup/protection (when I don't already have Horus out). Marauding Captain is something I just added and haven't tried yet. He will go if things aren't flowing right. Morphing Jar is basically here to refill my hand. Sure he can refill my opponent's hand too, but he can also throw off their whole plan if they lose something important.

Spells
Level Modulation is a great card. If your opponent does manage to get some removal past Horus and Royal Decree and you don't have your My Body as a Shield handy, it's the fastest way to get Horus back. If Royal Decree is active when you play Level Mod, the two cards they draw will more than likely be useless to them. Lightning Vortex is one that I commonly side deck. If my opponent is setting monsters more often than summoning, I switch it for the 2nd Nobleman of Crossout or Mystic Swordsman. My 2nd My Body as a Shield is side decked. Pot of Avarice is also side decked. I never have good luck with the timing of that card. If I see that a lot of my monsters are quickly going to the graveyard, I switch it back in.

orbus is probably right on the mallet over the Reload in your deck.... you can do with out the quick play reload so you have more choices with the mallet.. unless of course you use the reload defensively.

If I can get more mallets I'll probably switch them in. I like her idea for the Magician of faith too. I've never used her in this deck. It started out as a dragon/warrior hybrid and then I dropped the dragons (twin-headed went with them) for Dark support. Magician of Faith didn't fit into either of those categories, but her effect is really awsome. I'm going to find a way to at least side deck it.
