There is nothing to call right or wrong it's just a matter of flipping your coins.
Yes, the gamble is slightly annoying, however he's still a rather tough beast to contend with. With only the Monarchs and Bazoos topping his attack power in today's Meta (excluding the obvious Chaos Sorcerer)
However, he is still optimal for Strike Ninja RftDD decks. Return the Blows, blow away anything remaining in your path and strike for game. (no puns intended throughout post) :D
That's ok I suppose...but I prefer D. D. Scout Plane's...they automatically come back anyways...I can constantly reuse them without wasting away half my LP just for Blowback's when I can spend nothing for Scout Plane's..
Still...overall I find them more useful in the longrun...
I always found planes very hard to get in the graveyard, even with Card Destruction, Morphing Jar, ... battle. Of couse everyone around me uses Aggro, so that might be the case :ermm:
Anywho, Blowback is very good, but duelist don't like Vegas! :cheeky:

I usually summon one and use Chain Destruction on it to get the other 2...or Magical Merchant helps too...heck...sometimes I just use Sangan to get one to my hand and discard it with some other card...
The luck factor is what the majority of players don't like. The format has enough luck in it as it is. Don't need to add more to your important game by using a coin tosser.
Plenty of player's from what I've seen XD. Of course, none of the EXPERIENCED player's do, but I've seen more inexperienced players use it with a field full of beatsticks, all cocky that they'd call it right and they call it wrong and they try to make up some stupid excuse saying "oops, I didn't flip it right" or something XD
Blowback is, in my estimation a very good card, and, its negatives really aren't negatives, they are just people's complaints that the card isn't insanely strong.
Importantly, this card can maim stall decks. 100% shot at killing reaper, 50-50 reusable effect at killing Tomato, or any monster on the field before it even attacks, Wave Motion Cannon, LLAB, and it can attack the turn it uses it's effect, or vice versa.
However, I think the main reason Mobius is preferred is that most people are running tons of monster removal already, and are relatively short on ST removal, and mobius fits in perfectly, giving an instant kill 2, while blowback is only giving a 50-50 shot at kill 1. True, blowback can kill a monster, or try to kill again next turn, but when you are ready to strike you don't want to lay out your cards and then get stalled.
Probably one of the reasons why I think people don't use Blowback Dragon, is because of the simple fact that they want to be absolutely certain something will be destroyed. Certainity is a big thing when considering cards for a competitive deck.
The range of what Blowback Dragon can destroy verse how many times the effect will actually go off (since it has a success rate of roughly 66.7%) balances the card out. It's a very balanced card for what it does. This argument is very similar to the whole "Magic Drain v.s. Magic Jammer" discussions that took place a couple formats ago.
Comparing Blowback Dragon to Mobius the Frost Monarch isn't even a fair contest. Mobius beats it with 100 more attack (not much, but meh) and can kill two Spell/Trap cards for sure. I don't really consider Tsukuyomi a real threat because if Mobius got its' effect off and killed two of their Spell/Trap cards; then Mobius served its purpose and you gained advantage while they wasted their summoning for Tsukuyomi and dump even more cards on the field for protection.
Mobius simply generates more advantage than Blowback Dragon. It's a proven fact, I've tested them both out in competive play. Mobius always out preformed Blowback Dragon.
Obviously these are just my opinions and rarely does anyone even care.
