Yeah...the concept these days being "If it doesn't get rid of the threat immediately, it's not useful" which is why Waboku has dropped a lot in play...and Sakuretsu Armor is considered "Better" overall...
I had a feeling that that was the reason why waboku isnt hyped around these days. Back when i was in local tournys. It was used frequently. But they werent useing it exactly right. Like, your opponent still having to flip up the face down card. It wouldnt be destroyed naturally but still had to be flipped. I didnt know this at the time so i didnt mind. But, yeah. either way. Ill most likely be useing it in a really cheap non monster deck im conjuring up.
Personally, I think that, in today's environment of Mystic Swordsmen, Drillroid, and suicuding Tomatoes and D.D. monsters, Threatening Roar holds a little more use, since it completely prevents attacks. But Waboku definitely does have its uses.
I know. i replaced 2 Sakuretsu armors for T. Roar in a deck and they work nice. But the reason i took out my sakuretsus was to place em in a 2nd deck i made. HA.
