What would be the most Card Advantage-based deck? Or one that can get good amounts of Card Advantage. Obviously, CC doesnt not provide lots of advantage, it provides simplifiers, so dont mention it.
You're right, the current CC isn't the best deck at providing advantage. It doesn't require advantage, conservative play, or any type of skill at all for that matter to flip a Return and put a check by your name on the match slip.
It can and does gain advantage, but it doesn't make use of some complicated engine. It just takes what it gets, and gets the most out of each card. That's why it is so good. You don't have to wait, and hope to draw the right cards. You just play with what you draw and score +1's here and there.
The more potential for advantage a deck has, the riskier it is to play (hence the reason people don't venture from CC very often).
Examples to Advantage Engines:
-Macro/Dim Fissure + Survivor: Survivor basically can't die. It gets Smashed, it comes back. It gets attacked, it comes back. It gets tributed, it comes back. Is the potential for advantage not obvious? However, what if you draw Survivor, but no Macro/Dim Fissure? You lose. What if you don't draw Survivor? Again, you lose.
-Soul/Monarch Control: Tributing a floater or my opponent's monster for a Monarch...sign me up. Lots of potential for advantage, but at the same time, if you draw too many Monarchs...you lose.
-Dark World: Play Charity, drop two Goldd, you win. Don't draw Charity, get stuck with two Goldd, you lose.
-Strike Ninja: Every two Dark monsters in your graveyard basically counts as an extra resource when you have Strike Ninja on the field. That's insanely broken. However, if you can't fill up your graveyard...you lose.
If you can take one of those decks (or another one that I didn't mention) and reduce the effects of its weakness as best you can, you'll have a deck with the potential to gain more advantage than a CC deck.
I usually only see the "+1's" mainly come out of a Monarch or a Reaper/Don in CC Decks. Or, depending on the Deck, a well-timed Call of the Haunted for a Sangan or something.

Maybe a searcher or 2, but it depends on what Deck...besides, I tend to try to keep out of the whole "mathematical" view on Decks all together and not look at whether or not a card gives "+1" or "+2" or "-1" or anything.

That is completely your right, but in that case, what makes you feel qualified to post on a thread titled "Card Advantage". You seem to be in over your head.

Oh no, just because I don't put ALL my faith in math with all the "+1" or "+2" talk, then I can't post in a thread talking about card advantage!!! :rolleyes:
Seriously though, what makes YOU feel a select few "good" duelists like you think yourself to be have any right to decide what is ultimately "card advantage"??? Cause that's pretty much the impression you're giving me with this post AND a lot of your other responses to posts I make.

No need to get defensive, there is no offense intended. Whether you like it, accept it, study it, worship it, whatever, that IS card advantage. There are difference types of advantage...hand advantage, field advantage, and more adstract types such as virtual advantage, etc, but general card advantage refers to the number of resources I have vs. the number of resources my opponent has.
It's no problem, but it just seemed like the way the post was is all...not to mention I had to sleep on my couch for the past 2 nights (= no sleep) cause, somehow, bats kept getting into my room ~_~;;;

Neither will their Cyber. True, my VLord falls to Cyber quite a few times, but he always weasels his way back into play. Somehow. Controllers / Raigeki Breaks are godsend though.
EDIT: Take a look at my test deck in the sig plz. Tell me what you think. Its something I just threw together.
