Yep...seems kind of weird...especially when they're basically the exact same effect...
Examples...
A.) Tramplers
Mad Sword Beast
Earth/Dinosaur/4/1400/1200
When this card attacks with an ATK that is higher than the DEF of your opponent's Defense Position monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points.
Dark Driceratops
Earth/Dinosaur/6/2400/1500
During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points.
B.) Graveyard-activating monsters
Masked Dragon
Fire/Dragon/3/1400/1100
When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, you can Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster with an ATK of 1500 or less to your side of the field from your Deck. Then shuffle your Deck.
Gokipon
Earth/Insect/2/800/800
When this card is destroyed as a result of battle and sent to the Graveyard, add 1 Insect-Type monster with an ATK of 1500 or less from your Deck to your hand.
...you'd think they'd keep text like this the same for ever monster with the same kinds of effects...weird...u_u;;;
Yeah...I can see there...with the whole 1 word differences and such...though, like I said, sometimes it boils down to common sense...like Magic Cards to Spell Cards...tons of people asking if their PSV Imperial Orders could stop "Spell Cards" when theirs said "Magic Cards"
It's not so much that, but little nuances like [The Immortal of Thunder] vs. [Graverobber] vs. [Ring of Destruction] type of thing.
Ah, I see what you mean...(also things like Raimei which "decrease" and not "inflict damage")...I guess without stuff like that there wouldn't be SO many rulings concerning such cards...

I think the guy who writes the card text gets board and decides to change it up.
so last time i checked about hysteric party someone said it was only for harpy lady. . . even though it says harpy lady "cards" so does this mean it now includes harpy lady sisters?
"As far as we know...no...unless they put up a ruling that says otherwise, "Harpie Lady" cards just means "Harpie Lady"...."....in general. Unless it says "cards with 'Harpie Lady' in its card name" or "Harpie Lady monsters" or something...

the whole point of the original post was because they just DID put up a ruling that said "xxxxx monster" now means "a monster with xxxxx in its name"
Since that would be the most recent ruling on the topic, unless they later put up a rule that says otherwise "despite what the new wording rules say" I would have to rule that Harpie Lady Sisters are included (provided, of course, they were properly special summoned via "Elegant Egotist")
There is no reason in my mind why "'Harpie Lady' cards" should be treated differently than a "'Destiny Hero' monster" other than one says "cards" and the other says "monster." Personally, I don't see this as a big enough difference.
I'm sure someone will send that question to the judge's list, and it's quite likely that I'm wrong, but until then I'm treating them the same. Judge's prerogative :)
