Yes, the database was updated either early this week or late last week.

does it work properly? or do i have to back-up my existing database just in case :)

They've fixed the errors found so far. It'll work properly as long as you have the newest version of gempukku.

Yes and yes. The H&E database has been availible for some time now and there's a somewhat new version of Gempukku. It's essentially the same thing, but it has categories in the Deck Builder for Winds, Rings, and Ancestors and it puts out your Wind along with your Stronghold. Besides that, it's the same thing. You do need it to properly read the new database, though.
