Its not the fact Stabilizer affects stral slide, its that for 2 mana you basically prevent ANYTHING with cycling, no card has ever been designed to shut down a card ability for a extended period of time AND only need 2 mana in doing so.
From the origional post, I agree that the worst part is that it's an artifact. That gives access to ALL decks. "Cannot be countered" creatures are green; that makes sense - green is the enemy color of blue so let green shut down its enemy. Red stops the life gain of its enemy White.
Even artifact cards that hurt specific strategies like Dodecapod that hurt discard stratagies (came into play as like a 5/5 if forced to be discarded) didn't have nearly the power because it still allowed the stragegy - discard - but made there be a potential drawback to it.
But disruption of ballance seems to be the theme of Scourge. White has a direct damage spell. Where will it end.
yes indeed but all in all Stabilizer shuts down too mutch, too easy...just read what obrien, Bahamut, and I said earlier all of those comments seem reasonable...
