5/5. Survivor is the best monster out there cuz their basic effect can be transfer to other monster and they look cool with the bioharzard like orb in the card art.
Yes indeed. Let's not get too carried away with Survivor love tho. There is Ballom Master of Death after all which is rather nifty. I like the effect of "kill all non-dark monsters when summoned" and its insanely high power.
Sets 5-6 are the sets Survivors come in. Expect releases in Feb and May respectively. Set 6 has the survivor evo, and 5 has a lot of the basic survivors.
hey im just curious but what are some of the st creatures. they sound so cool.
"i have no shields but you have no mana and no creatures!"
" you think so huh?"
(insert best creature that breaks rest of sheilds) attack E-Kay!"
" sheild trigger creature, attack him for game! tadomeda!"
"GG"
"I-ke" "Todome da" are how to spell the Japanese sayings. Each civilization gets 2 shield trigger creatures. One has an effect (Light has a ST Miele but for an extra mana), other is vanilla for an extra mana (red and green have 2 mana 1000 ST creatures).
Best out of the bunch I believe is Magma Rex, 5 mana Rockbeast, 3000 base power. When summoned it kills all 1000 power monsters (or less) on the field. So Those dark decks that rely on Oozes and Belbetphlo will be in for a nasty suprise, as well as tribe, aqua vehicle, braid claw, and all the other weenie creatures.
OMFG.
After reading the above, I am traumatized by the lack of intelligence. Pardon me if I seem insulting. It would be better if I simply ignored this area.
LOL HE BRAGS! How old are you?
1. You once said that 3x Civ would never work. Figures, you contradicting buffoon!

I guessed it was something like that "Survivor" is a much better name. Sliver? S+Live+r maybe?
WTF? What was the substance abused when you typed this tripe? How is "Survivor" better then Sliver? S plus whatever you typed made me drop my jaw. You must be at MOST 10 years old.

sonic...er codexstatic, please stop the personal attacks. Just examine his deck or don't comment in this thread at all.

And I was examining his deck as well as his nature, and both offend me. I'd report them, but you seem to not process my input well.
If he offends you with his manner of posting, then you could approach that matter in a mature way. If he makes a bad post worth reporting, then by all means report it. Otherwise it's best to keep comments in this section aimed at the deck. You'll accomplish nothing short of a flame war by attacking him personally. Your "input" above is a bunch of insults--how hard is that to "process"?
BTW, Ryoma, I'll read up on the set spoilers to get a better idea of how all the cards work in your deck to offer more detailed comments about your deck. What types of decks do you play this one against (like what are their main cards and strategies)?
Well I play against all decktypes, but only online. Various kinds of decks, rushes, dragon decks, Aquan and yet my deck seems to always win. Its not due to lack of challenge or killing my survivors it seems. Removal kills my survivors...but the 5 mana survivor revives them from the grave after say that Death Smoke or Hammer, or something like that.
To codex...I never said 4+ can't work. If I said anything its that they are difficult to use correctly. They can be prone to bad luck and such. I definitely did not mention anything about 3 color decks. I use a 3 color deck, and have done so for the majority of my time playing Duel Masters. Three colors means that sometimes when you need 1 color you instead get the other 2 or some such. It's much more risky. There are advantages and disadvantages to this type of deck.
My survivors employ 20 shield trigger cards. This is half the deck. Thus building mana is much easier. I can easily toss a Demon Hand(Pit) into the mana zone without worry. Same for a Burst Shot. I know I will be getting more removal. 40% of my deck is removal. Removal is a type of card that is easier to use than most in my opinion. It either can be used or cannot. It doesn't combo in any way with anything usually so it doesn't take much thinking.
My deck employs not only cards but a way of thinking, a play style. My removal acts as energy source(mana), sword(killing things the normal way), and shield(Shield Trigger).
Now I will briefly explain how I beat certain decktypes. Rush is very simple. My early creatures and Shield Triggers stop them. My shields statistically average 2 ST kill cards. Since 40% of my deck is ST Removal so are my shields. Very simple math: 2/5 of 5 = 2. It's not unusual for me to get 3 STs one of them usually being a Fairy Life to give me more mana. Dragon is a bit different. It will use Kokia Rupia to attempt to summon dragons turn 4. Of course usually Dragon decks lack early support, so Kokia is the first thing played for them, or a low cost Dragon that they wish to evo. The strategy is fairly easy to stop as you merely target the threats. Death Sentence works well no matter what the target is. Even if their evo succeeds they still must face the shield trigger army. If they hit a shield trigger that kills their evo, I will have a clear field and 2 survivors.
A creature kill deck can be highly annoying. One that employs every kill card imaginable, as well as usually Hell Vice which can kill 3 low cost survivors at once, perhaps even if they are being powered up! This deck is defeated by the use of the Black 5 mana survivor. It acts as Rumbling Tera Horn for a Nature Deck. Note the same mana cost. However the chain effect can be even deadlier and much less expensive. It's quite gratifying to be able to revive both Sigma and what it evolved from and play it the same turn.
Aquan Decks are particularly annoying. There are many possible ways you can play it, but there are really 2 ways Aquan works. One way is with lots of Blockers and tiny creatures using Aquan to swarm quickly. The other is to use Aquan as more of a late game engine, utilizing their attack turn 5-7. Blocker decks are quite annoying as Survivors need their speed to win. The strategy here is use Burst Shot if possible, or power up your survivors till they can get past the blockers. Sigma is extremely helpful against Light decks as his base power of 9000 can break through anything, and a power boost from a Masher Horn allows for it to stand up to even Ladia Bale.
Aquan is one of this decks greatest enemies as Survivors can't generate card advantage to help against Aquan. The amount of blockers Aquan can put out can shut this deck down quickly. I have yet to lose against an Aquan deck but it is only a matter of time. Aquan has too much card advantage and stalling power.
That's the basics anyways. Survivors are very powerful in their groups. These are not the only survivor creatures there are many others. But these are what I have chosen. You can give your survivor all sorts of neat bonuses with other survivors such as Slayer, Unblockability, Speed Attacker, Blockers, and the ability of Rumbling Terahorn(get from deck, limited to survivors). With the Speed Attacker(6 mana) and Terahorn for Survivors(6 mana) the next turn you can gather an army. If you have only 1 survivor in your hand, summon it and then summon 2 more and then all 5 of your survivors can attack that turn and with the enhanced abilities of the most recent 3.
I am currently in Japan now, so I'm trying to actually build the above deck. Unfortunately my luck does not give me survivors, and instead bestows cards like "Ultimate Dragon" onto me. I would hope Mr. codex would do a better job of acting like he's Japanese, and debate about what cards should go into a Japanese deck to best this one. I'd like to see one of your Japanese decks Mr. codex so all can see your Japanese deck-building skills. So far you have not shown one shred of strategy or insight into the Japanese DM scene despite declaring through the flag below your name that you are Japanese. I am asking you, regardless of your petty differences with me for the sake of the community to share your opinions about Japanese cards. If you cannot share opinions/insights/questions about cards from Japan, I would suggest you do not post here again, not even to respond to the challenge to which I have laid out.
Please do not debate why I prefer the name Survivor to Sliver. That is a matter of personal opinion, you can't be wrong for believing either way. It's just like my friend's favorite card is Mini Titan Gett because it's a member of the Teen Titans. He is not wrong for believing this. The reason for these things are like the reason people like Pepsi over Coke or vice versa, they just do. My reason for liking Survivor is because I know what it is. It survives. I do not know what a "Sliver" is. It sounds like something weak, something that is only a part of something, the part of a creature that is left after it gets shot by all the guns of Armored Blaster Valdios, but that is just me. You obviously see something more astounding in the name, and good for you.
