Shrink is an entirely different matter because it's not a continuous card like Mirror Wall is.

Shrink has the same capacity as Rush Recklessly in terms of activation timing.

shrink would still work similarly to mirror wall given the situation frostbyte asked about.

if rush recklessly is activated in the damage step, then there are only 2 options for using shrink, either in the battle step, which would cut the attack in half and then rush would add the full 700. the other option would be to chain shrink to rush recklessly, in which case shrink would still cut the attack first, and rush would add the full 700.

the only way to have rush's boost cut in half would be to have rush resolve before mirror wall/shrink. so in the damage step, the only way is if they chain rush to mirror wall/shrink, otherwise there is no way for rush to resolve first.
