Why the hell would I give a crap about the OCG meta...I don't live in Japan, I'm not planning on visiting Japan, and we don't have half the cards from Japan. So screw that meta...it means nothing to the TCG. You should know that.
The japaness metagame effects ours. The combo's and statagies they come up with well before us. If you're the real exprinced player you say you are you should realize that. Our metagame is nothing more then a step behind in combo's and statagies they can use. Who started chaos contorl? OCG. Who countered Choas Contorl? OCG. Who made real Gadget Decks? OCG. Who is going to put an end to gadgets? OCG if the remainder of the TCG doesn't get a wake up call.

Stealth Bid was not luck, though if you did go 8-0 with a water deck, congrats, must have been some crappy noobs playing E-Heros. Then you saw how good your deck was once you went to Pastimes. As I said, my meta ain't crappy. I play with 6 '07 National qualifiers, 2 SJC top 8 competitors, and multiple regional t 8's. That's pretty damn good for a 20 person local.
Well I didnt' play some noob with E Hero's I actually played players who are well ranked in Illionis and in the US. You're missing the point of what I was making, that just because your so called "anti-card" does well at your local doesn't mean its going to do well at a regional level. Just because you can pull exodia 1st turn 10 turns in a row doesn't make you skilled, its simple luck. Stealth Bird with its effect, doesn't make it an Anti Gadget card since it doesn't stop the engien of the deck, which is the searching and summoning of Gadget monsters. At most Stealth Bird would be a nice TECH card to use AGAINST gadget theme decks like Rush Recklessly and Hydro's would be for others.

I'd rather run Mind Crush and Trap Dustshoot over D.D. Designator. At least it's chainable and can be used on my opponents turn.
D.D. Designator is the only card which can actually stop Gadgets. Mind Crush and Trap Dustshoot slow Gadgets down, but D.D. Designator stops it cold. Because of the simple fact of once your opponent summons Gadget A, he'll search for Gadget B, if he doesn't have Ultimate Offering in hand or Set, you can easily play D.D. Designtor the next turn and remove Gadget B from the game. Since both the OCG and TCG Gadget decks lack the ability to speical summon removed monsters, You can easily call game from that one more.
