And another more important thing that many have overlooked is this: Its late game you and your opponent are both topdecking. You top a magic drain. Sweet, free magic negation. You top a terrible deal... yeah

And makurya just out of curiousity, if you think Drain is better than deal instead of running 1 of each why not just run 2 magic drains?

Unless your opponent chooses to let the spell be negated.

And yes, as Sheik said, negating a topdeck'd POA is usually the win.

roughly 90% of the time magic drain will obviously be better, the 10% when its better is when chaining to mst, or heavy storm.

but what makes the card attractive is that it IS going to go off. (good luck finding a deck that uses no spells) and it will mess up your opp.

right now i think we have enough stuff to build a discard specific deck that WILL work.
