If anything, you could switch your Normal Monster to defense before you give it to them, I guess.

so basically Konami/UDE is just remaking popular limited and semi-limited card to work with only Normal monsters. Call, swap, mirror force ...

What good would that do ? Then they would take no damage at all, and then when it is their turn, then they switch it to attack anyway.

I guess this could make cards like Thousand-Eyes Idol playable. Could make for a nice little fast damage aggro deck with 2x Swap, 3x Mystic Box and 3 of this card. Toss in some goblin attack forces. Something like

-Summon GAF
-Swap thousand-eyes Idol for something, attack it with GAF
-attack with stolen monster

next turn

-Tribute stolen monster for dark driceratops, swap GAF and attack GAF with driceratops.

Seems like fun stuff.

Sounds like my Giant Kozkay deck, only with some Mystic Box splashed in too 8^D

You make a good point, there seems to be a lot of "mainstream" cards being re-tooled to be for normal monsters only. I think that in itself makes them in a far less "broken" state. Plus it makes the Normal deck type feasible.

Bah. Just equip Broken Bamboo Sword on anything for extra damage. ^.^

I think normals could be good, after TAEV of course.

If only normal monsters...had effects. ^_^

Let's see a Harpies and Imperial Order that only work if you have a normal monster on the field. THAT would make them very playable. ^_^

This set does again add to the support and make people once again try and make them competitive, but I still don't think they will be there.
