yeahimthatgood: If you use three A Cats and one R Cat, what do you think would happen? You would draw the A Cats before the R Cats. No good. And Rare Values SLOW DOWN the deck. That's one less effect city has. That makes it harder to use abundance. Also, running three is bad. Drawing rare values with rare values doesn't help.
kimmychan: Threatening Roars are horrible in CB decks. City has got you covered. Use speed cards instead of Roars. That will be your "brick wall defense". Torrential is the only trap you should use. Self explanatory.
dude, u have no idea wat ur talkin about, threatning is actually better, but im goin to run one last resort, and 1 torrential, also i have never ran 3 rare values, and sangan grabs rescue cat so i can get the a cats, also even if i have 2 of my a cats, then rescue can just be set, doesnt really hurt, also i went 6-2 2 regionals ago in florida with this deck, the only diferance was i had ring of destruction and snatch steal, since it was the old ban list, so there were a few less cards in the deck
I'm not going to offer any critique on the deck, as I have no experience with CB, but I have to say that your attitude is not that of someone who is looking for deck fixes. That's it, and good luck with your deck.
gravi-crush and mangna-slash dragon only require one tribute and their effects will be much more benificial. they will essentially beat your opponent into the ground
I don't see how those cards are "beneficial" in any way, waist of a monster to tribute him and there effects suck. Stats are bad and kill the deck within. Sorry bud; but those cards suck.
RESCUE CAT IS NOT GOOD. The reason you must think so is that you havent tried running the deck without it. Running 5 weak monsters that do not win you the game in a CB deck is rediculous.
2 Nobleman is useless. What you need is another LV. There should be 3. Im sorry but your deck is missing so many combos and tricks that I cant see how it wins. what is the playtesting with this build. How does it do. CBs dont work as a deck if you cant protect your lp. MT removal will eat this deck alive. A third blessing is in order. You also need MT kill bluff cards like enemy controller or shrink. If you took out that dumb rescue cat engine you would have room for my fixes but otherwise good luck. I would really like to know how this deck does.
like i said i went 6-2 at regionals, good enough for u, u show me someone els who has done that good with a cb deck, and i have ran it without rescue cat, ive ran the dd cb deck, rainbow dragon, straight cb, the #### with the gravi dragon, and the rescue cat way is the best with the baboon, cause u can send one a cat to the grave and one to the back and then bring baboon out if u have in ur hand or grave, also i forgot about shrink, i did run them and im gonna add 2, and have 3 vortex, but crossout is pointless whoever said that.
Yeah. Cats only go in the beast build, to dump beasts.
DDCB doesn't work because you will need to activate Crystal Blessing, and realize you have nothing to use it with. Also, with Macro on field, you only have 3 slots to place your crystal beasts.
Exactly Dum. Nice regional data, but where I play, a CB deck that gets a rescue cat and 1 or 2 amethysts will lose. Baboon and Manticore work just fine with 3 peg, 3 topaz 2-3 mammoth and I play nimble for good measure.
What does your side deck look like by the way?
I partially agree with Dum Manz Groop, my edits are in the quote.

Could you look at my Chain Energy Deck please in return for my comment?
sorry...but i can't read this info anymore without saying something. u guys r bashing resue cat like it is going out of style. dude i ran CB and it is a great deck to run for a skilled player. it throws most of those dumb dumb net deckers at regionals or even local challenges for a loop when they see such a deck. not only did i run Rescue Cat in my deck, but Rainbow Dragon, Baboon, Hammon and Abundance as well. anyway back to my statement about R Cat.
rescue cat is a great tool for the CB deck. i was sceptical at first with them too, however when i used them they sped my deck up real fast. allowing u to put 2 CB's in the backfield on the first turn the possabilities jump dramatically since most of the CB cards require more than 1 CB in the backfield to activate. i mean hello C beacon and value? granted this will leave u open for a hit, but if u put in some defense u'll be okay or u can just take the hit. alot of the time i wouldn't take that much damage since it would be the opening turn and they didn't have a big hitter out, not to mention if i had rainbow ruins out i could halve the attack of the big hitter anyway. and next turn i would use those 2 backfield CBs to activate beacon to get pegasus out and get another CB to the backfield, thus making ruins even more powerful. or even let u get Hammon out to the field for a 4000 attacker and since most players don't expect him they don't know what to do. and i could usually have him out on the field on the second turn, if not then 3rd or 4th (and yes, u can use the backfield CBs for Hammons summoning cost). and then when they trashed pegasus he made 4 in the back, if u didn't summon Hammon of course, so now i could use abundance which would usually hurt them severly. so u nay sayers can see that R cat can help if used properly. and about that "what if i get them stuck in my hand and don't have anything to get?" they r fodder for vortex (which must be at 3).
as for Rainbow Dragon, granted he is hard work to get out (sometimes), but he is great. I won many a matches with him and his effects. this is also an advantage for u if u use him (again with a skilled player using the deck). ur opponent will be so freaked about u getting him out (u most likely killed him with it the first game) that he will most likely go after ur graveyard and not ur backfield (this is where Hammon came in handy). and with foolish burial out now it will be easier to get him out. and by the way i have had both Rainbow Dragon and Hammon out in the same turn on more than one occation.
Baboon, i had him in my deck and yeah i do have to kind of agree with u guys on him. he does somewhat hinder the deck, however he does put another pain in ur opponent's dairy air when he's trying to come up with a way to stop ur deck. he does work well with R cat.
Magna Slash and Gravi Crush Dragons r u guys high on something? these guys are great! though they should be side boarded and not maindecked. these guys help u dismantle ur opponents strategy. for example: i faced one of my opponents who had a zombie swarm deck (u know what im talkin bout). he had field advantage with his monsters and i was in a corner, but as the fates would have it i drew gravi crush and had beacon in my hand. i sp summoned peggy with beacon (i of course had my required 2 CBs in the backfield) put another CB in the back and summoned gravi crush. i used gravi's effect to get rid of his monsters and swung. he attempted to replenish his forces on his turn and let me start my turn. i used blessing to put 2 CBs in the back and smashed his monsters again using gravi's effeect and swung again. he got rid of gravi on his next turn, but as u see the damage was done with a card that u say is no good (and by the way i finished him off with Rainbow Dragon). I had a similar game with a stall deck that used primarily backfield for stall instead of monsters. i brought out Magna Slash and well...u get the hint similar results as against the zombie swarm.
traps r a must in this deck. i have yet to see anyone run 2 jinzos and 2 decrees in their deck (even though i have thought about it myself). and with monarchs still being big the trap card that is a must in this deck is "forced back". yes, i know u r saying "pulling the rug is better! it kills the monster!" true, but it is also situational. forced back can be used on any normal sommun. and believe me there is nothing better than seeing a monarch deck player's face when u keep sending his only monster back to his hand and not getting its effect off and knowing u have a big hitter coming (if he is not already on the field). u also need backfield protection for ur CBs. i only started to really lose with this deck after everyone at my store wised up and started going for my backfield with dusters, twisters, and rushing me continuously when i would get bad hands. but hey, after taking 1st, 1st, 2nd, and 1st place again for 4 strait weeks i had hoped someone would wise up to my deck.
so u see, even though u may think that they r no good some crapy cards can be murder in the hands of a skilled player. no, im not bragging that im the most skilled player there is with a CB deck or any deck. not by far, but u know what im saying. if u think outside the box u can get ur opponent off his game by using cards he's not come up against before. that is what helps a CB deck win. i hope this helps and good luck on ur deck.
You placed what? I agree that you can use R Cat effectively in a crystal beast deck, but it will only sssslllloooowww the deck down. After all there are more cards now out with the new Jesse packs that came out that would really help this guy out. Without having to use cards like Green Baboon, Rescue cat, and more importantly Hamon. I would look at cards like Crystal Release, which can add 800 attack points to the monster it is put with, and not only it can add a crystal beast monster to your spell card zone when it is destroyed. Next would be Crystal Tree, which if played right could add two or more crystal beasts in spell and trap card zone to get out abundence faster. Also you have to figure in Crystal Counter, that can help out as well for abundence. So don't razz on people for saying that they don't think that R Cat is all that great in a crystal beast deck, cause to me, he only sssslllloooowwwwsss, me down. Oh by the way, by the way your talking I would really love to put your deck up against mine and just see how fast you can get out Rainbow Dragon and Hamon at the same time. Also if you successfully beat mine, cause i would find that hard to believe.LOL
In case you're wondering here is my current build:
1- Crystal Counter
1- Mirror Force
1- Torrential Tribute
So as you see it doesn't use the afore mentioned R Cat, and Hamon, but it does use Rainbow Dragon only as a last resort. So just keep in mind that all this means is that we all can be great duelists like you, just by using the cards we can get our hands on. Let me know if you feel up to putting yours to a test, all you have to do is ask.
And oh by the way, you were quick to rant and rave about everything in this post, but yet i do not see your current build that you say you've done so well with. You afraid someone's going to copy it, I wouldn't think so. Just wondering...........
But in light of that I think that playing a crystal beast deck now with all the extra cards available, might not be that bad. Might even be in the top eight at the next Shonen Jump if played right.
