In which case 2 Gold Sarcs are going to be your best bet to play in the deck.
I'd love to but the chances of me getting my hands on one copy of Gold Sarcophagus, let alone two, are slim to none. I still don't own a Crush Card Virus.
Yeah, Grandmaster has come to be relied upon a lot for Six Samurai to the point where people think Six Samurai Decks auto-suck without it (which I personally disagree as I used them when they came out and they worked just fine to me. Grandmaster was just icing on the cake).
I've always used 1-2 Footsoldiers in my Deck as well and they worked out nicely too; made Shogun a lot easier to get out since I could Normal Summon another Six Samurai or, if that is my 2nd+ one, simply Special Summon Shien and still Normal Summon another Six Samurai to add to the pain.
I also still wouldn't underestimate various effects either like The A. Forces, which has also been a nice asset to the Deck given Samurai swarming and making even Yariza a dangerous foe, especially (like several Decks) with the use of Solemn Judgment and whatnot. I've also considered trying out Fusion Sword Murasame Blade given its ability not to be "destroyed" by effects that would "destroy" Magic Cards and all. (Which includes just Magic Card-destroying cards or "card"-destroying stuff like DAD and whatnot.)
I like to try out as many options as I can before discarding them.

But why? It's much more fun to say something works without any actual proof because it's a card that people assume is bad!
Seriously though there are a few cards I'm just personally not fond of because of my play style and past experience. Shien's Footsoldier however is something that I think could work a lot better now, I did run it in the first version of the deck I ever built and I remember how annoyed people were that Yaichi was seemingly always on the field.
Oh yes, you're absolutely right! How could I forget such sacred fact!!??
Anyways, yeah, playstyle can make me less or more fond of certain cards, though I try not to let past experiences get to me too greatly whether it be losing because of them (not working for me or losing because of the opponent using it), but more look at overall results from testing and such.
And yeah, Footsoldier works a bit better now that DAD is restricted and all plus Nobleman of Crossout not being used, so you can Set it face-down and the chances of it dying in battle are much greater.
forgive me, i've been away for a while. I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. Nice suggestions. I do think that some cards my not be as useful due to their rarities.
Gold sarc. being a prime example. It should be safe to say that we should focus on cards that are not impossible to obtain.
I'm going over my original build right now to see how I can maximize everything in the deck. it may take a while but i'll have a build online soon.
Pay Life Points in increments of 500. Decrease the Level of 1 monster in your hand or field by 1 for each 500 Life Points paid until the End Phase.
think this could be a useful addition to the six samurai deck?
I'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around what it would be used for. I'm assuming it would be for those times that you have a Grandmaster or Great Shogun stuck in your hand with no other Six Samurai monsters in site? If that's the case I'd personally rather run something like Card Destruction or Hand Destruction to thin my deck out a little and dig for a Six Samurai monster, most likely Hand Destruction in this case.
No, Star Blast is not needed at all for a Six Samurai Deck, especially with only 2 monsters that CAN be Tribute Summoned. Neither one, however, should have that much trouble being Special Summoned.
Grandmaster is easy enough and Shien has Six Military Scrolls in CRMS to be gotten from the Deck.
Unless you're making some weird attempt at running numerous other 1-2 Tribute monsters in the Deck, then Star Blast would just take up an unnecessary slot.
As said, you could make much better use of the slot with other cards.
Ah Scroll of the Six Samurai, I think that's the TCG name, I just don't know what my thoughts on this card are yet. You're basically giving up what you'd need to summon Great Shogun Shien from your hand, two Samurai on the field, for the ability to be able to pull Great Shogun from your deck. So essentially you give up 2 Samurai, which are now more difficult to get on the field without three copies of Reasoning, and Scroll for a Great Shogun Shien. Minus two Samurai, minus one Scroll, plus one Great Shogun. I really hope you had Six Samurai United on the field before you blast away your monsters for Scrolls effect.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think the card is terrible, I'm just really skeptical right now because there's a good chance I'll have to give up one of my Grandmaster of the Six Samurais for Scroll's cost, I'd rather have Grandmaster on the field so there's a chance it will be destroyed, triggering it's effect.
I've only used 1 in my Six Samurai Deck right now.
As said, the fact that you gotta Tribute 2 face-up Six Samurai monsters can be pretty costly considering you will probably end up losing out on Shien's own self-protection effect as well as losing out on 2 Six Samurai effects.
Though, when you think about, the trade-off IS fair for getting a 2500/2400 beatstick with an effect that limits your opponent to 1 m/t per turn straight from your Deck.
But 1 has been good enough for me. I'm usually able to get out Shien from my hand often enough for it to not always be used, but it does help if I need the extra brute force coupled with various Six Samurai revival that could be used with it anyways (like Double-Edged Sword Technique since they'll die and do damage anyways if left alone).
so the cosensus is that one should be enough. i studied the card and thought about it, and my main question was when would be the best scenario to use this card that otherwise would not be necessary. I've usually either had Shogun in hand after 2 summons, or about to get him due to united, or don't need him at all since my monsters on field already have it under control. I guess you could attack with the 2 samurai, play that card and summon shogun, and continue the attack. thats the best i can come up with.
