Me too. I can't imagine any true clan (even the Wolves) openly accepting such a group of wannabees, especially when they allow themselves to be led by such a corrupted warrior. The fact that they seem to fail whenever an important objective comes within their incredibly weak grasp.
2. Why did Crow not kill the CapCom who knew his secret when he had the chance (Back on Liao, in the second book flashback)? Would that not have solved a TON of problems right then?
3. How will Crow salvage/repair his Mech so that we can play it as an LE later? [/b]
Re: #2, Crow probably suffers from the "Before I Kill You, Mr. Bond" syndrome.
Re: #3, the same way we play Kal Radick's MC2. It's not necessarily fixed, but it existed *at some point*, and presumably, if we can play with Kal Radick, we can play with Crow's blade...
It was tempting to challenge all Steel Wolves to a Trail of Grievance after reading that for breaking Clan traditions in such a way.
And they said Kerensky couldnt refuse a trail, however, I remember reading somewhere that those of higher rank are not bound to accept such trails. However, I'm not sure.

A few problems I had with the book(s)
1. What TRUEBORN would let another warrior help her take out a Mech she was engaged on?!?!? (I am refering to the fight with OEJ and the Tundra Wolf assistance)
2. Why did Crow not kill the CapCom who knew his secret when he had the chance (Back on Liao, in the second book flashback)? Would that not have solved a TON of problems right then?

1. You have to remember that Anastasia is a psycho b*tch! I mean it. First of all, she's got a serious split personality problem, and she knows it. To be able to turn Tassa Kay on and off like a switch shows a serious detachment disorder. I think she turns Tassa on when she wants to be...a human. When she thinks she needs to do horrible things, she turns Kerensky on. I think Tassa is the person she wants to be and Anastasia is the person she thinks she has to be. Anyway, back to the breach of protocol on getting help in combat. If the Clanner Mechwarriors won't except help in battle as a matter of protocol, why bring all the support. Remember, there's no higher honor than victory. In Clan society, despite the strict rules of conduct, the ends always justifies the means. Any action, no matter how afoul of the rules, can be justified by an infinately complex societal structure like the Clanner Societies.
2. He didn't kill the CapCon officer because he was probably in a part of Chang-an that was secured by the CapCon forces. Killing an officer would get the attention of the blood-thirsty troops on the street. But yes, it would've solved a bunch of problems. Without the old book naming his former self as the Betrayer of Liao, Jacob Bannson could never have connected the dots.
3. He won't. There's no way Crow can get it off world to repair it. Even if he did("Thank You Martin Delrio, I'm sure you'll come up with some sort of implausible way of extracting the Blade while making everyone but the bad guys seem totally imcompetent!"), he would have to assume a new identity(Not at all difficult in this Dark Age.). Anyway you look at it, Ezekial Crow won't be a plausible piece to play, but play it anyway. It'll probably be the best Blade you ever saw.
