Problem for ya, though... example with Inova, Kriya and Sadia (and MANY others) Sure, you can hit me with an HL unit... but on average with the heavy armor they are packing, you are likely to just knock them onto their best click or just short of it...
That is what always happens with me, I make sure that I am either packing Seka Ward (Who can SU-Command herself to her best click) or I walk right up and knock, get a bloody nose, then ravage the one who shot at me. Unless you are packing something like Domonic Voeller (Who I can just stay out of the range of - of course unless you decide to charge, lol) with his high-class damage and decent attack, you are going to be in trouble.
It all comes down to the tactics that suit the players. That is all there is to it. :) You might be able to beat me, maybe not, but that will not lead me to change my point of view - some players are just better than others - some factions just make some players more able to play successfully. :)
i have found a sloution to my low starting attacks... artillery,
the rules say that you can't directly target your own units, but artillery is an indirect attack, my problem lies it that he out ranges and bases, then artillerys the #### out of my mechs...
