Well think about it. The SW have attacked the HL on Northwind a few times now. If the SW's had a few Kodiaks then it makes sense that one of them would fall in battle and the HL managed to nab one. Thus they get one ... after the SW have them first. Makes sense to me. Just one thing I'm hoping for ... if the SW gets up to a 24 defense on its sweet spot .. I hope the HL one STARTS with a 24 defense. Imagine THAT lil monster! Come charge THIS Mr. Arnis *grins*

woah, what the hell? HL is getting a Kodiak?!? That's the dumbest thing I ever heard. What about Ghost Bear? Or Rauslauge Dominion or whatever. The Kodiak was a Ghost bear only mech. One of my favorite in fact.

Ghost Bear is my favorite faction. Why don't they bring in them instead of the Phillidelphia Eagles (our name for Jade Falcon). Is WK trying to bring in two evil green factions from both sides of the inner sphere. Liao and JF. My least favorite House and least favorite clan.

No. The SW do not have a "few" Kodiaks in their Touman, they have one, Koffler. That should be it, it does not make ANY sense for them to have any more than him.

Of course you all forget that the Wobbies N-Bombed a Whole GBD Galaxy or whatever...LOTS OF SALVAGE THERE...some of which COULD have been a Kodiak...

There is no HL Kodiak, according to Draddog. Check the Q&A thread. I think it is one of those wild rumors that flies around. Somebody says a HL Kodiak would be cool. Somebody else agrees. Eventually someone gets confused and says "The HL Kodiak will be cool!", etc etc.

Draddog didn't say there was no Highlander Kodiaks. He just said we cant prove he said it... :rolleyes:

True, but the fact that the first Kodiak pilot is/was a Ghost Bear leads me to believe that they do not have a couple sitting around.

Besides, if anyone should have them besides the GBs, it should be Jacob " The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase" Bannsons, everything/everyone has a price....

I could see the Highlanders having a Kodiak. Remember, back in the good 'ol days of CBT, the old Northwind Highlanders had a regimnent-although, their name escapes me at the moment-that was armed with Clan 'Mechs, and trained in counter-Clan tactics. I also remember them doing some action against the Bears. So, it's very likely that they felled a Kodiak or two and took it. AND, since the Kodiak is an EXTREMLY powerful 'Mech, they probably wern't decomissioned, just stored.

And, I LOVE the Ghost Bears. If WK introduced a Ghost Bear faction, I'd likely drop the Highlanders like a 250-pound maggot! OK, maybe not. They'd probably just be regulated to my second faction. But, still! Clan Ghost Bear! The BEST Clan! The most powerful Clan (JF and Wolves are, techincally, more powerful, but they're always fighting. So, that takes a bit away). AND, since they denounced their Crusader ways, and became Warden at Victor's Trial of Refusal, they're smart, too! AND, they BUILT (obviously) the Kodiak! And, they make heavy use of the Marauder IIC! (Or, so I've been told) What's not to love?

Those who lobby for a Ghost Bear faction in Dark Age (at least as of now) should be shot. I am not exactly a fan of the Ghost Bears, but introducing them into the RotS mix would only shame them, as the Bears have been (and still are, I can only assume) STAUNCH WARDENS... I don't see why they would invade the republic.

And the Northwind Hussars (the unit you are speaking of) did indeed equip themselves with Clan tech and train to combat the Clans, but they fought the Smoke Jaguars and a bit of the Nova Cats, not the Bears. Though theoretically they could have obtained a Kodiak or two from the Jags, I* find it unlikely the mech would still be in top shape with Clan tech. It's also untrue that the Kodiak was ONLY in GBear possession in the 3050's-60's as is the common concensus. Read Grave Covenant (2nd Twilight of the Clans book) and you'll read about a Davion Guards unit taking on the Jags, fighting at least one Kodiak. It's very, very rare for a single Clan to have sole possession of all the chassis' of a mech... most of the time at leasta few clans take a few of the new mech in trials after it has been produced.

That's not discounting that the Highlanders WOULDN'T have a Kodiak in this crazy new world, I'm just further weighing the odds.

Well I could bet that SOMEONE is going to get an LE Kodiak as it would be rather unusual for them to only make one miniature with a specific sculpt. As to who gets it, why don't all just wait and see until the LE list is published. :)
