Aye, Hatchetman... Jodi is probably the only major let-down of the ROTS units... 180+ points of cold hard AP+Charge target-practice, sadly. :(

The one good thing is that at least he starts his dail with Improved Targetting... but... that's about all there really is that's good about him. Low damage, low range, low defense value. Anyone with decent range and Armor Piercing could have a field day with him, not even NEEDING to charge. I have him - this is what I've discovered, lol. One pop from something that does three damage without Armor Piercing basically gives him command ability, but disables his feasibility as a combat unit, then you just lay into him with something bigger.

Sorry, I know there are ways to prevent this, but... you know what I'm saying. It's hard to do. Charge isn't even required to disable this particular unit.

I am pure ROTS complete w/merc extras and it chafes my hide to no end that my once special Mason among others will be run of the mill after CA.


theres always a bright side though, I still luv ROTS and will stick with them, and whoever decides to go into ROTS now will probly only pay a quarter of what i spent to get the whole faction.

True, the Republic has a plenty of good unique mechs and some very strong vehicle choices. Our infantry is certainly decent and well-rounded as well.

But we're getting *nothing* in the new set. That'll impact very strongly against us in faction-pure games.

To answer Hatchetman, don't worry - everyone is unimpressed with Jodi. She's the worst of all the Knights.

Luckily we've got plenty of great mechs to make up for her.

Ya, the no new units sucks, but I suppose that's why I play Liao and stormhammers as well. Btw, Jodi is male.

yeah i agree the bs of not having even one unit in Ca is well crappy but the new rules make our power mechs far more usable due to the limmitation of Arty, Infantry, and Orders.
As I said in another post the Valiant and the Black Knight will provide excellent cover for each other against both tankdrop and chargers as well and having the armor to limit arty dammage.
