I like the idea of insane damage output, range, and high attack values for huge cost. And maybe just average defense values? It has already been porven that swarm tactics work very well in this game (Infantry vs Mechs anyone?) so that would seem balanced to me.
EGADS!!! Sorry about the Catapult thing...I've been sick lately and I think my fever is melting my brain...that should have been...
Unique: Kraken
I would possibly make a guess that yes, the Loki and also (crosses fingers) Stone Rhino (Behemoth) since WK seems to like BIG unique mechs!
As for the swarm tactics, nah, they are more one on one fighters...therefore they will have a lot of mechs, but at high costs...and those mechs will be worth every penny!
The falcons *need* a Thor, it's one of their signature mechs, isnt it? And the Uller, I guess people might be sick of Ullers but the Falcons used a lot of Ullers too.
And let IS players (of which I am one) complain if the Falcons are overall better than everyone else, a real clan *should* be better than a bunch of splinter groups and demi-clans.
Yeah, the Falcons are rather fond of the Summoner (Thor), they used it in a rather different way than the rest of the clans...Apparently while Most clan used it as a Supporter to an Assualt mech, the Falcons used it as well, a Fast Assault mech, using it as a "hammer" as it were...

I'd think they'd get one at some point.
As much as I'd like to see a Timberwolf(mad cat), I don't thing that Jade Falcon should get one. Jade Faclon mechwarriors didn't really like it, and though most would never admit it, many thought they were cursed. Though it is on the cover, it doesn't appear until way near the end, and adian didn't like piloting it.
The big users of Timberwolves(mad cats) were the Space Wolves. They swore by them.
dudes, the clans during the initial invasion were LRM lunatics. The jade falcons were especialy guilty of this. They also shared the davion facination with autocannons and jumpjets (proof is in the summoner) That is why the falcon gaurds were 100% jump capable.
as for me i hop that the Falcon Gaurds, Claws, and Eyes clusters all make an appearence in this upcoming set. Gaurds were independent, the claws were part of either alpha or beta galaxy, and the eyes were a second line recon cluster in tau i believe. I could be wrong though
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Cougar since the Jade Parakeets designed it.
As for faction abilities I'd be more inclined to bet on increased accuracy at the cost of another ability like say Firing Formations. Since such formations would be against zellbringen. they should also have decent but not extreme damage values and higher than average defense values for each mech type. Those two properties should be costed into the units while the accuracy would come out of the loss of formation firing.

Comstar ROM has the blurbs for the upcoming novels.

Flight of the Falcon by Vic Milan
A Clan Jade Falcon force is en route to eradicate the Steel Wolves—but its true mission is the subjugation of The Republic of the Sphere. Constrained by an imposed peace for decades, the Falcons now embark on their most spectacular war in generations—and their lust for blood runs hot…
That implies (to me at least) that we're going to see some real Falcons.
The big question I have is colour scheme. How will we be able to identify the Green and Gold Falcons from the Green and Orange House Liao or the Green and Tan Highlanders?
JF will be in the next set. They will have high range, attack and speed, but mediocre damage and defense.
All these things are facts that WK unveiled at a Envoy's Dinner in germany last october. Other things they told us about back then were the cool new Dark Riders figs, for example.
