STUPID PAGANS!
Llauging reference to sound of laughter at moral delema of using plastic crack stamped with pagan icon.
Wait, wouldn't pagan basically define anyone not in line with the Christian faith? That's a lot of people to call stupid based on their not wanting to worship a guy on a cross...

The term "pagan" has a lot of different meanings (sort of like asking, "Who is my neighbor?" ;) ). It comes from a latin term that can mean things like "civilian", "outsider", to a more base term like a "hick" or a "hoosier". It has come to be applied to non-christians, with both complimetary and hostile connotations.
Since many reactionary and overly liberal elements could be considered not in line with the Christian philosophy, it might be better to be more specific about the use of the term "pagan". :)
@D_0_D
Also, this would be a rune, not an icon. There is a difference.

Well, the Thor is a Clan design, so Steal Wolves, Spirit Cats, and Jade Falcons have more of a claim to the Thor than Stormhammers, but that hasn't stopped Dragon's Fury or Swordsworn from getting their hands on them. We don't know who designed the Mjolnir yet.
I happen to be a Christian and I still appreciate good designs. I was commenting before counterassault came out that Thor was missing his hammer and then they came out with this mech. I use Gary Metcalf and a Mjolnir all the time. Lets not claim to know what other people think or believe all the time. I happen to love reading Greek-Roman-Norse mythology. I think something we can all give kudos to the game designers for is some of the constructs that they came up with for Dark Age.
As a Pagan I can understand the derogitory comment about the Christans, but I do not condone it. It would be like a one Jew calling the Germans a bunch of kraut-smokers. It was genocide in both cases, but lets be civilized and move on.
*lion food is clever though*
I just do not get why the Christians of long ago (I hope) had such a negative view of the 'pagans'. Especially when everything in Christianity is taken from old pagan groups anyways.
Christians, In my experience are tied for the second most intollerent religion in the history of humanity. It is one thing to be set in their beliefs (as stupid as having beliefs, period, are) but to disrespect other opinion, or to condem others because they are not in agreence is stupid and childish.
and yes Christians of long ago commited Genocide of Pagans until the 1700's when the "burning times" officaly ended
Now we are all but extinct
@darkarchon0-that depends on what you define christians as. a christian to me is one who emulates christ or tries to be like him. how intolerant are you to tell me i'm intolerant? you are being intolerant of my religion! having beliefs are stupid? huh?
@icebrand-everything in christianity is taken from pagan groups? incorrect-in fact quite the oposite. i think people that post on these boards need to get their facts straight before posting. anyways what were we talking about? mwda i believe?
