Is it just me or do the Numbers on the Uniques seem off. They have a 90 ton cyclops and Templar lower then an Uzial which is a light mech if I remember right.
If memory serves, it was used as a Command Mech because of advanced sensors and communications, its an assault mech out-classed by some mediums in actual combat....
Correct me if I'm wrong please...
If I'm right, I think the Wizies have found a new whipping boy....rejoice Highlanders...
What I also find troubeling about the news in this spoiler is it says that Steel Wolfs will not be present even though the background story for FP says that the Jade Faclons are here to destory Steel Wolf. Of course the Story for CA was supposed to be about a RotS counter assault not a SSw counterassault. It just seems wrong that in CA SW recieved 8 units and SC made out like thieves and now in FP SW may be left out and SC will still be getting units. Sigh when will the hurting stop.
I can accept BR not getting anything after the huge stockpile they receieved in CounterAssault, but SW? If set retirement goes through around this set, the Wolves are going to be fetching the short stick....
I've got to agree with invader zim. If any 2 factions should be
left out of this set, it should be Swordsworn and Spirit Cats, the
two factions that made out like bandits in CA. I'm an SSw player
but right is right. I agree with the choice of BR but SSw or SC
should have been one of the other factions to miss out.
Now that the precedent has been set, there better be other
factions receiving 16" ranges, too!
Originally posted by jlaprise It might also mean that SW are going to get a whole new killer line up (the lion's share in the next set) after retirement.
Sigh, yet another set that will be easy on the wallet...I play DF and SW...
See, i'd like to think that, but unless they start releasing evenly packed sets going forward, that really don't favor/exclude anyone, then every new set that comes out will gimp at least one faction. Liao can't keep getting favored forever, what happens when those sets start seeing retirement?
Overall I am excited to see what is yeilded in this new set. No units with Defense over 22 means that either HL will be recieving a paradigm shift or they will be just be on the whipping post again.
Cyclops, in CBT they sucked, BUT this isnt CBT and so who knows. I expect it to be in the 200-230 point range with command.
I may just have to dump clan Sea Fox. They seem to have it right if you ask me. They are clan so they have a good military but their ruling class is the Merchant class which just flys in the face of the other clans. They have Stockpiles located EVERYWHERE so they could be quite fun. The no formations thing however will bite.
I collect SW, SC, BR, SH, RotS and Merc but is sounds like I will be able to stall my BR and SW and focus on JF and SF.
