There will be more Legendary Pilots in sets to come. As far as I can grasp the concept of Gunslingers, it's to be expected that there will always be a fair amount of them in the expansions after AoD. They're usable with all factions, which is considered to be an advantage in my book.
Originally posted by Revenge The only thing I don't like about Gunslingers is that you can recruit them into Sea Fox for the same price as recruiting them into a faction with no abilities.
The Sea Fox "can't make formations with any other units" Renegade "ability" is such a detriment, though, that I'd say it pretty much balances out their two other faction abilities in point cost. In that way it only makes sense that joining Sea Fox would cost the same as any of the older factions that don't have faction abilities.
I'd also be surprised to see any Sea Fox situational alliance cards, and especially be surprised to see a Sea Fox mercenary contract card. After all, that Sea Fox Renegade "ability" is directly in contradiction to working with others in alliances or by hiring them.
So I personally don't see any problem with paying the same cost to recruit a gunslinger into Sea Fox for the same cost as most older factions without faction abilities.

I plan on focusing on the Gunslingers that have a cheap
recruitment cost for Davion/Swordsworn and
Highlanders/ROTS. ;)
Well I'm some other people on I hate the hole Idea of gunslingers .Mostly do my like of playing faction pure. I would rather have uniques for the factions the gunslingers beside if the slingers are an trial and error thing. They are a test to see if we will all the units being faction instead of have actaul units in each faction because some people want this gane like CBT with clix in instead of something different.
Is Earl Crowhurst Gunslinger the same one as the one it this lance?
Lance Roster: Hansen's Roughriders

I like the idea of 'slingers. More slingers = more balanced factions, and thus less griping.
This way, SH and SS can get units that don't blow themselves up, DF can get units with >12 range, and HL can get mechs that can hit the broad side of a barn.... IF they dish out the dough.
here the advantage to the sea fox thing... if you play a ranbow army you can still recruit gunslingers to sea fox and then play some other faction for your inf and veicals...like liao getting good advantages like fanataism and rulsness (i can't spell) for your other forces and still get the sea fox stuff at base price... i'm starting to think that might be a good idea :)...
