The Anubis! Sweet! I love using those things in 'Mech Commander2, awsome long-range missile 'mechs. But why the heck is the one in the picture in HS colors? I hope it's not a unique, the Anubis is a Capellan 'mech, right? That "VTOL" 'mech (in HS colors again) does kind of look like a Razorback, not entirely though. I first thought of a Starslayer, because it's in the middle of a jump. But we all know how Wizkids changes the looks of CBT designs. Sounds like Annihilation or Domination might be the ROTS' last set. If so, that sucks. Hard. And isn't it a little early to have the "official" announcement for Domination? I mean, Annihilation isn't even OUT yet, and won't be until who knows when next MONTH. It's like they're trying to make sure they keep us hooked, so we always know there's something cool coming up, and won't spend our money elsewhere. I disapprove of that.

I don't think the MCIV is a Wolf mech, more likely a Gunslinger. AFAIK, WizKids hasn't put the 'new' things in the preview picture, preferring to release it later on after much fanfare.

I, too, thought of the Razorback when seeing the jumping mech. Rings a bell, certainly.

The airbrush-style is pretty impressive, and I LIKE the squatter feel of the mechs - thin, stringy ones look far more implausible than the chunkier ones.

By "shattered", I don't read that the Republic is dead - Prefecture X is likely to be the newer, smaller Republic - I just don't see them biting the dust...

The Anubis was a joint Capellan/Canopian design. So the Capellans should have a lot of them.

The VTOL comment was meant as a joke. It's just sculpted mid-jump.

There's a certain 'protocol' that has to be followed. This announcement isn't really for the players, it's for the distributors and stores. There has to have a certain amount of time to allow the new set info to percolate through.

If the timing had gone as planned, Annihilation would be releasing 'any day now' (say, a week or less). The production delays scotched that. Firepower's preview came out right on the heels of AoD's release, as did AoD and Falcon's Prey. WizKids' production schedule meshes right about perfectly with the pre-release info.

You know, I don't reckon it's a dead cert, but the midle left RD mech smacks of a Tempest... :noid:

Anubis *was* a capellan mech...you know, back in 3060. SEVENTY FRICKIN' YEARS AGO!

Now, like most other faction associated mechs back then, its probably been populated out a bit. Kinda like American and Russian military technology did in the cold war after 5-10 years or so.

I like the jumping sculpt, I think. I doubt it's a vtol mech, though...if you look, there doesn't seem to be any way to attach that pole to the base. It must be glued on, so there's no means of representing NOE and cruising...I suspect it's just for looks.

I figured it was for the distributors. I think someone said that when we got the Annhilation announcement before FI released. But I don't understand why they show us all this stuff here , for us players, instead of putting it wherever they do for the distributors. With Annhilation coming out next month, which I'm trying to save money for, and with MageKnight:Nexus, and Star Wars Minis: Universe having been in stores for 3-5 weeks, I just don't even want to think about Domination. I barely have enough money to get one SWMU booster and two MK Nexus boosters a week. I don't want to get concerned about another set to buy right now. That's why I'm a little irritated they do the announcements like this now, before the newest one's even been released. To me, Wizkids comes off as impatient to get our money, when they hype up two unreleased sets for the same game line, a tthe same time. We got the "Annhilation will be delayed, due to a problem at the factory beyond our control" announcement a while ago. And they still haven't explained what the problem was, and I know I'd be more understanding if we had been told what exactly went wrong; I'd love Annhilation to be out now. Anyway, since it's been a while since we were told about the delay, I think they could have waited to put this up until next month, when Annhilation will release, if they really wanted to.

1) The anubis looks like a GS mech. I would have to bet that that's what it is (If I were a betting man)
2) The Jumping / VTOL mech's stand goes right into it's left foot (right side when looking at it from the front) though I don't see where the stand would pop in / out of the base.
3) Definately have to agree on the coolant truck... I heard a rumor on one of the forums (here, I believe) that it was coming out.

Anyone else think that the "head" on the bottom left mech looks like a polar bear?

A lot of the distributors and store owners check this site to get an idea of what is coming out and also to gauge the responses of the players to the announcement of new releases, by which they can get a general idea as to whether or not they can sell a lot of the product.

Dude, that is not Wk's peoblem. In fact, it is not ours, either. If the known fact that Domination will be coming in January suddenly becomes an unbearable burden due to some pics being released, then I suggest you don't visit their site anymore. Or any other site on the internet, for that matter...
