Something else thing think about. If your a tournament player by buying singles online you are not supporting your venue. If you venue does not order a certain number of cases you dont get prize support. Im not sure on exact numbers but i believe a venue needs to order 3 cases to get Mechs as prizes. So if your venue does order the cases and you dont support your local merchant.... your wizkids events may just go away as you stick the store owner with cases of mechwarrior boosters that his/her player wont buy.

Lightfoot was never an excellent LE but I always see it fetch abnormally high prices in ebay.

I am getting a case for sure. And it is not just for collecting Liao pieces. I am sure there are many die hard Liao collectors out there,. because I always see a number of Liao uniques whose prices never go down below 10 dollars. Liao Targes, ATVs, Arrow 4s and Paladins still fetch relatively healthy prices.

There are enough uniques and LEs that I would want. There is Danai and Yen Lo Wang, which is tops in the list; she seems destined to be the next medium mech close combat monkey since Kuro Ha. All three Vultures. The Marauder IIC. The red based Clan Wolf Thor. The GS and the LE Scourge. The Cornerstone Shen Yi. Heck, even Felix Jarta. I want the Sparky Jackalope as I plan to create a fun triple Bunny of Doom army with Harvey and Thumper. I would still want the Breath of Fire Shen Yi because I am still trying to collect all the Shen Yis even those from the old LI set. And also any mech with Homing Beacon I must get.

Among the Nons, got to have all the Avalanches, Thors, Anubis and Osiris. Some for playing, some for collection. I won't mind the Goshawks. Among the support vehicles I wnat the Gossasmers, mainly I am a VTOL fan. The two CNC Avalanches is a must to complete my CNC collection, as well as the CNC Thor. So are all the Kurita, WH and RD pieces. You see, this set has the factions I collect mostly---CNC, Kurita, Liao, Wolf Hunters, and RD.

Jasek and the Eisenfaust is also a must for me. Forgot to mention that.

This is a good point. However if you buy eight from you local venue to join the O.C. and another three for the Call To Arms tournament....

We also do a "booster buy-in" at our weekly events. Anyone who wants to puts in 5 dollars towards the purchase of a couple booster packs. At the end of the event, after the WK prize support is handed out, the top placing player that bought in, gets his choice of a unit in the boosters. This rotates through all of the people that have paid until the units are gone. Fellowship is not taken into account for the buy-in.

Usually there are three boosters purchased. One from the newest expansion, then one from the previous one, and so on. This not only helps support the venue which hosts us for free, it also helps the venue get rid of older stock.

Since this is a Liao heavy set, and you also might want those Gunslingers and Wolf Hunters, a case would be the most economical and practical solution, IMHO. If you get a case, you get the 8 uniques plus 2 LEs and 1 Ultra Rare, not guaranteed 100%, but you will more or less get them. If you buy from Ebay / Singles and all that, you may end up spending more (don't forget shipping and the effort of purchasing the items you want).

Whether they are excellent or useless pieces, I'll get them since I'm all Cappie. :)
