Would militia companies have the same make up as frontline companies ? Would they be smaller or bigger ?
A company is a company. If it's a militia Vehicle Company, it'll have the same number of vehicles as a frontline vehicle company.
In general, the main difference between a militia UNIT and a front line is the quality of training and gear. Militias are often larger then front line units, but most of that is composed of regular infantry. Militias also tend to have older gear and would tend to lack mechs.
Do the Clans use vehicles in thier stars; and do they combine mechs, vehicles, and infantry(battle armor) in the same star.
Answering your second question, generally no, you don't see 'Mechs, vehicles and/or infantry mixed freely in a single star, though the relative scarcity of war materiel in the Dark Age era might've changed that. (The same generally goes for the Inner Sphere on the lance level, too.) You might see them mixed on the binary or trinary level, though.
One notable exception would be the nova; a star of OmniMechs plus a star of mechanized battlearmor trained specifically to ride into combat upon and to work with the 'Mechs. Take a Trinary of such units, and you get a supernova. With the increased acceptance of vehicles in Clan units, you might see similar concepts adapated to vehicles.
