SW carnivores have 16" range, 5 dmaage armor pierce, 2 targets
only Ballistic armor, and AP to get to thier second click(unlike infiltrate on a kelswa) 90 pts
descent dial, but id probably still take the WH one,
shorter range, less damage, less pts
since im not planning on playing CW, all i can say is "look the steelwolves are back"
Then what are you going to play? And that is kind of odd that you are not going to play CW since your avatar is CW.

I'd say use a formation of those tanks that have that anti balistic gear built in, same one that reaver has. And make a totally anti balistic army, the jackalopes would help too.

What gear would be best for "Slayer" with Vaughn Sender?
The three I'm considering are:
1. Improved Targetting - Makes him hit with a higher percentage.
2. Streak Missiles on Primary Damage - lets him do max 5 damage with Streaks and has it throughout the dial0 but only goes out to 14".
3. Electronic Camoflauge - Immune to return fire.
Its really a toss up between Streaks and IT for me. Do I need the increased accuracy of IT if I'll be dancing behind blocking terrain all day? Streaks throughout the dial is really tempting.
EC becomes more useful if my local meta adjusts and starts using Streaks more as well.
:) Just my opinion of course, but I am fielding it with IT and/or the Inferno Ammo it comes with.... I REALLY like to just hit what I shoot at. The IA seems to work out pretty well against the support forces and light flankers that are trying to get to him. Against fast heavies and Assaults, well, he is fast himself.
I cannot see using C3i geat over IT for instance... One is highly situational, the other is just always there and I like being able to both hit and roll out of the crit misses... Just me of course, but...

Yeah, I've decided to go with the IT, the pros were better than the pros of running Streaks on the primary.
Now what to run as support in a 600 point game? A Griffin with either IT/ anti-p/ double rate/ fire shot/ coninuous fire mode and a basic pilot leaves with you around 100 points for basers and what not.

Grey Hunter + Gwin Fetladral + IT seems like a great support unit also.
I will be getting my case of WS today and I am strongly thinking about playing CW. What are some of the figures I would want to play/pull the most from WS in terms of playability? Any help would be greatly appreciated since I have never played Steel Wolves or very much Wolf hunters in the past.
Just my opinions of course, but having played a few of the new pieces...
The Warwolves are amazing. If you play them in an aggressive, "best defense is a solid offense" sort of way... Big range, good damage, stable firing platforms. AAMS allows you to support entire sections of your force...
The Wulfen... Well, good Lights. Excellent support pieces all around. If/When the game moves to the 900 point level, they will see lots of play time. At 600 points on the 3'x3' table, they are smallish fish in a very small pond... Too many things can catch them and erase them in a single action.
"Forgiven" Crimson Hawk... Depending on how many monkies who charge or JF players you have, this piece is either amazing or just another decent Light... Low Defense, but it IS taylor made to take down Falcons. :) Me, I'm stubborn enough that I WILL play it, and I think it will do well for me...
Griffin: Well, I have fielded it with IT, AnP and the Continious Fire Mode with it... Solid, an EXCELLENT piece in my opinion...
For Infantry, the Purifiers are simply amazing... Pulse Infantry with an 8 Attack, very strong.
I cannot comment on much else as my case had very little Lupine in it... So, best of luck on your case, seems like there were at least 2 runs, one good, one "not so good"...
"Forgivven" and Kris Carns... Well, I will have to revise this one up a bit as a support piece... With the Pilot ability to restart when shut down, I was able to push this Mech to support a Warwolf (Reaver) and keep the rear arc free and remove a lot of threats from basers and charge/DFA/CCAO type attacks...
"Grey Hunter" and Gwin Fetladral... I like it with IT for the "I hit" effect... Following on with Purifiers, Tora's Zamboni of Doom, or other Mechs... Nice :) And a lot of things hitting to find one target for the Pack and erase it...
Mad Cat IV... Lots of Damage potential... Playing in Caverns, or in say an Urban environment, the big stick of the 14" ranged PPC capacitor armed Mech... Well, not as easy as some ot play, but big damage and decent all around Mechs...
For the monkey in the middle of the map scenario that is the second storyline event this month which army do you guys think would be better.

Personally I would Alpha becasue she can infiltrate, and with her "With a Vengeance" abilty coupled with the Mjolnir you can cripple/destroy anything that can come close to grabbing the monkey from you...

If you do play Alpha or any other infiltrating piece remember that you cannot infiltrate
